Good in quality
Soap is different than regular ones, but they show pack of 4 but delivers only two, so disappointed about it.

Nothing new in so called"Original"
What makes it "Original"? Are the other Dettol soaps not original? It's like a regular Dettol soap with intense smell to give you a sneezing fit.

Good antibacterial soap
Since I’ve used this soap my armpits have lost its constant sweaty smell. I no longer use deodorant, just perfume on my clothes. I’ve noticed that using deodorant doesn’t help with body odour, so I just stopped using it.

Back to the basics
I grew up using this soap as a kid, but I remember it smelling much stronger. I haven't used Dettol in many years so I was happy to find it on Amazon. It was not harsh on my skin and had my skin feeling clean and soft after my shower. The bar is a light yellow, very different from the amber color I remember dettol being and turning white in water, but then again my parents used the liquid. The fragrance isn't that strong with the bar soap, but the clean feeling and odor control is long lasting. The set has 2 decent sized bars and was affordable. I am happy with this purchase.

Trusted Germ-Fighter with a Clean, No-Nonsense Feel
I keep coming back to this: the Dettol Antibacterial Soap Bar in its simple, utilitarian multipack. It’s not luxurious. It’s not scented like a pine forest or laced with activated charcoal. But when it comes to hygienic effectiveness, dependable skin tolerance, and a crisp, fresh post-shower feeling, few soaps come close. Texture and Skin Feel The soap has a firm consistency, meaning it doesn’t melt into mush like glycerin-heavy bars. It lathers well but not excessively—enough to get full-body coverage with a rich, creamy foam. The finish on the skin is squeaky-clean but not drying, especially on combination or oily skin. I have fairly resilient skin myself, but I’ve also had no negative reactions even during winter when my arms and legs get slightly drier. That said, for users with sensitive or eczema-prone skin, the inclusion of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parfum, and limonene may be cause for caution. While the formula is dermatologically tested and does include moisturising agents like glycerin and paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), some users may experience tightness or irritation with daily use. I’d advise patch testing if your skin is reactive or hypersensitive. Scent and Cleanliness The "Original" scent is classic Dettol—medicinal, clean, and slightly citrusy with a soapy powder finish. It’s subtle enough not to clash with cologne or aftershave, but leaves a very faint freshness on the skin. I find it ideal after sweaty gym sessions, long hikes, or just general summer use when odour control matters most. The scent is more about hygiene than indulgence, but that’s exactly why I trust it. It’s excellent on the hands, especially after outdoor work or cleaning tasks. It cuts through oil, dirt, and even mild odours like onion or paint, leaving hands feeling genuinely sanitised—something liquid handwashes rarely achieve. I’ve also used it as a post-shaving cleanser on the body with no clogging or residue. Performance and Germ Protection Let’s get to what makes this bar a staple: its antibacterial performance. Dettol claims it kills 99.99% of germs, and while that’s hard to verify without a microscope, the sense of hygiene it provides is immediate. When I’ve had cuts, scrapes, or insect bites, this is the soap I instinctively reach for—not only for cleansing the area but to reduce the risk of infection. It leaves skin noticeably refreshed and dry (in the good sense—no greasy residue), and I’ve never had breakouts or body acne when using it consistently on shoulders, back or legs. The bar also holds up extremely well in the shower. I’ve had bars last over two weeks with daily full-body use. It doesn’t warp or split and dries quickly on a proper soap dish. A quick note: avoid letting it sit in a puddle—while firm, it will erode faster in constant moisture. Warnings and Considerations While this soap is marketed as suitable for all skin types, the ingredients list reads like a chemical catalogue. Sodium Palmate and Palm Kernelate are fine for cleansing, but ingredients like Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone are known irritants in leave-on products for sensitive users. They’re safe in rinse-off formats, but again, those with skin conditions should check with a dermatologist or opt for gentler alternatives. Also worth noting: this is not an exfoliating or conditioning bar. If you expect softness, silkiness, or that spa-like cushiony feel, this is not the soap for you. It’s about function first, comfort second. The Dettol Antibacterial Soap Bar has several strengths. It effectively kills 99.99% of germs, making it ideal for situations where hygiene is crucial. The scent is clean and classic without being overpowering, and the bar itself is durable, maintaining its shape and texture over time. It’s particularly well-suited for post-workout showers or use in hot climates. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, it performs very well, as it doesn’t clog pores or leave any residue. It’s also dermatologically tested and includes moisturising agents to help protect the skin. However, there are some downsides. It can be too drying for individuals with very sensitive or dry skin. The formula includes known irritants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and methylisothiazolinone, which may not be suitable for everyone. Additionally, the scent might not appeal to users who prefer fragrance-free or more luxurious-smelling products. Finally, it lacks premium skin-conditioning ingredients like shea butter or plant oils, which some users may expect in a daily-use soap. I always keep a multipack in reserve—not because I’m scared of germs, but because I know this bar works, every single time. Whether it’s post-gym, post-DIY, or even after handling raw meat, Dettol gives me that confidence of a real clean. It’s not fancy, but it is effective—and that’s why I’ll keep using it.
