Modern Quantum Mechanics is a classic graduate level textbook, covering the main concepts from quantum mechanics in a clear, organized and engaging manner. The original author, J. J. Sakurai, was a renowned particle theorist. This third edition, revised by Jim Napolitano, introduces topics that extend its value into the twenty-first century, such as modern mathematical techniques for advanced quantum mechanical calculations, while at the same time retaining fundamental topics such as neutron interferometer experiments, Feynman path integrals, correlation measurements, and Bell's inequalities. A solutions manual is available. Review: Good - Book in good condition, delivery in expected timeline, great experience! Review: Best book - Best book for high level quantum

My son will love this.
Not my field of expertise but I know my son will be thrilled with this book. It arrived in excellent condition & is wrapped up for Christmas.

Not 'The Best QM Book' I had anticipated
Sakurai is a great conceptual bridge between undergraduate quantum mechanics and field theory — but its strength lies in presentation, not depth. It’s inspiring for first-time graduate students, but less impactful for readers who already understand the algebraic backbone of quantum mechanics from QFT. The first few chapters are elegant but not always crystal clear — especially the density matrix and matrix element discussions.

Excelente! Mas é para um público específico.
O livro está escrito de uma forma clara e o formalismo matemático está adequado. Não é um livro para iniciantes, ele está voltado para alunos de ciências exatas nos últimos de graduação ou para estudantes de pós.
