It is flexible: The BiX adapts variably to pipe/sleeve diameters between 20 and 50 mm and cuts through wall thicknesses of up to 2.4 mm. In addition, weighing just 108 g light and measuring just 72 mm in length, the small Knipex BiX is compact and ergonomic enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and to allow you to work in confined working conditions. The cutting tool is made of sturdy, reinforced plastic, the blade unit is made of die-cast zinc, and the blades (made in Solingen) are made of special surgical stainless steel. Review: Professional quality & engineering! 🐯 - It may seem expensive, but this is a high quality professional tool and the results are impressive. It’s very well engineered and accurate, spare blades are provided (and also available to purchase). If used correctly this tool generates incredibly clean symmetrical cuts but it’s important to read the instructions properly before use as technique is everything in order to maintain a clean neat edge! It’s important to first create a guide track with soft equal pressure, only then do you use the guide track to cut deeper (with increasing force) until the cut is all the way through. If you just grip it hard and twist it without making a guide first it will make an asymmetrical mess (user fault not tool). Also something to keep in mind is regardless of appearance, extrusions meander all over the place in terms of symmetry (a pair of Vernier callipers will illustrate that quickly). As the tool uses the circumference of the extrusion as the guide, any minor deviation in symmetry (fabrication tolerances) will result in a skewed cut. Again not the tools fault, but with practice and care you can produce consistent clean cuts (as neat a laser can)!
Review: Worth the money 👍 - Very good waste pipe cutter, have been using these for a while now and cant fault them. Cuts 1 1/4 & 1 1/2 with ease barely takes 2 rotations and it cuts clean with no burs if used properly.

**Q: Could these cut through Rain water pipe?**
A: Theoretically yes, but it’s so difficult I wouldn’t bother. It’s ideal for small diameter pipes

**Q: a 50mm solvent weld pipe has an outer dimension of 56mm. will this cutter accomodate that?**
A: Yes, but it's a little tricky. Best to hold and cut into the pipe, and then rotate the pipe while gripping it firmly.

**Q: Where can I get extra blades ?**
A: It has an extra blade inside if you haven’t used it yet!

**Q: Does this cut PvC conduit?**
A: Yes it does with a nice clean cut

It may seem expensive, but this is a high quality professional tool and the results are impressive. It’s very well engineered and accurate, spare blades are provided (and also available to purchase). If used correctly this tool generates incredibly clean symmetrical cuts but it’s important to read the instructions properly before use as technique is everything in order to maintain a clean neat edge! It’s important to first create a guide track with soft equal pressure, only then do you use the guide track to cut deeper (with increasing force) until the cut is all the way through. If you just grip it hard and twist it without making a guide first it will make an asymmetrical mess (user fault not tool). Also something to keep in mind is regardless of appearance, extrusions meander all over the place in terms of symmetry (a pair of Vernier callipers will illustrate that quickly). As the tool uses the circumference of the extrusion as the guide, any minor deviation in symmetry (fabrication tolerances) will result in a skewed cut. Very good waste pipe cutter, have been using these for a while now and cant fault them. Cuts 1 1/4 & 1 1/2 with ease barely takes 2 rotations and it cuts clean with no burs if used properly.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean cuts, but wobbly when cutting near to the end of a pipe

When used to cut off a decent length, if one grips hard, then the results are excellent, with a clean, precise cut. However, if attempting to cut of a couple of centimetres or less, the cutter tends to drift, and start cutting like a spiralizer. In addition, the direction arrows are too subtle, and locking latch still allows an attempt at opening which could be mistaken for the perfectly-fine stiffness in the hinge. So this is great, but not perfect.
