I’ve been using the Calgon 4-in-1 Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets mainly to help keep on top of limescale and general build-up. They’re easy enough to use – just pop one in and run a cycle – so there’s no extra hassle. Over time, I’ve noticed the machine smells fresher, and it seems to run a bit smoother, which is a nice bonus. It’s meant to protect parts like the drum and heating element, and while you don’t see that directly, it does give a bit of peace of mind that you’re helping the machine last longer. At £5 for 15 tablets, it feels reasonably priced, especially compared to potential repair costs down the line. Overall, it’s a simple, no-fuss way to keep the washing machine cleaner and working well without much effort.

Great idea but they leave a lot of residue in the conditioner tray in the washing machine. I had to clean the tray this morning as it was blocked. Will try the liquid next time

Forgot to pick some up when shopping. A bit more expensive than supermarkets.
