Overall Good for Most Uses
So far the functionality of this product is good. It takes a little getting use to how it functions compared to corded versions. I was pleasantly surprised that its power is comparable to corded versions and the batteries appear to last quite awhile depending on how heavy the usage is. My only issue with it is that some drill bits slip in the chuck and get stuck in what you are trying to drill. However, I use it mostly for screws and drill bits with hexagonal shanks and other similar shanks. The chuck seems to have some difficulty with gripping cylindrical shanks.

Best Kreg Screw Drill
Compact and light but also has enough torque to draw kreg screws in tight. The clutch works well to ensure the screws are driven too deep. Must have for a trim carpenter who uses pocket screws a lot

Powerful Drill with great power
Nice sub compact light design. Gives plenty of power. Great for various projects.

Great drill
Purchased first drill 2023 loved it so much purchased second drill 2024. Drills light weight and has the power to drive 6 inch power pro screws with a problem. Haven't had any problems with them holding drills or driver bits.

good tool but you will need to adjust to the trigger.
I would give this a higher score, but it has a very sight or sensitive trigger which can get away from you very quickly.

Right drill for the job!
As an “extra” drill, this compact tool is especially good where clearance s are tight. Great torque when using hole saws to make holes in studs when running electrical cable to junction boxes.

I don't take one star reviews lightly. Makita has failed badly
I was really excited to get the first one. Nothing but rave reviews and a lightweight, but powerful, little quality drill was exactly what I needed. I hadn't really invested in the platform to this point, but I was taking the plunge. The chuck got stuck in the locked position after the third use. No amount of persuasion worked. I spend days pouring through youtube videos in an attempt to find a solution. When it came down to taking the entire tool apart, I cried uncle. A brand new drill from a brand with a solid reputation shouldn't have this issue. Take two. Second brand new drill. People need to understand that this drill has been a primarily house drill. Called into light action a few times a month for things like mounting a shelf. I also have a hobby shop and it was used there. But I've been down with spinal surgery for almost a year now and haven't have the opportunity to work in there all year. The drill wasn't being kicked around on a construction site. Far from it. The damn thing never had the chance to learn what sawdust looked like. Spinal issues fixed, physical therapy about wrapped up. It's time for mama to get back to work. I decided to build a plywood box as my first foot in the door. Drill about 20 pilot holes and drive the same number of wood screws. I can't. I can't do it because the jaws have failed in some weird way that I've never seen before. Two of the jaws move just fine, but the third is loose. I lock in the drill bit and that one jaw just can't hang on. I've had to 'unscrew' the drill bit from my piece twice with channel locks. This has NEVER happened to me in 40 years of using a tool like this. Insane. I can forgive one bad tool. It happens. Never happened to me before, but it's fine. I did shrug it off and moved on at the time. But not two in a row. What really irritates me is that I did like the drill. The power was fantastic. It was so compact and lightweight - even with the battery - that it was a pleasure to use. As a female with short fingers and small hands, this was the most comfortable drill I've ever owned in my life. I love it. But I need a RELIABLE tool above all else. So today I'm buying an emergency Dewalt just so I can move on with my life. I'm terribly disappointed with Makita and I cannot trust the brand after this. NOT a good first impression. Not at all.

14.4vのドリルドライバーを使っていたがこの度18vに変えました。なによりコンパクトになって取り回しがいいと思います。高さと重さはほぼかわらないです。

DONT BUY THIS DRILL !!! It doesn’t have the button with a light that’s to change from screw to drill it’s also not powerful it just stops also drill bits fall out of the chuck all the time. Looks nice but not up to the job and not the drill advertised!!
