Oh, David! A Diaper David Book

I love the No David books!

Purchased as a Christmas gift.

Some may think David books glorify bad behavior—I think just the opposite. As a child growing up, I adored the book series written about the Goops—children who imbibed in naughty behavior and childish pranks. I learned the importance of manners and polite behavior through their silly antics. David is a modernized version of those books, and our grandchildren love the drawings and story lines to each and every David book. Our three year can’t read, yet she can recite (with excellent animation) these books word for word. She recognizes the difference between right and wrong through David’s actions. These are good learning tools, as well as hilarious reads.

Love the durability because my son can be a little tough on books. Also helped teach him read!

I purchased the “No, David” book for my three year old grandson and he enjoyed it so much that I purchased “Oh, David” for his little sister. She is right at the age where books are becoming an interest and she loves the fun illustrations and she loves when her Nana reads the words (with feeling.) I also find my grandson cuddling up close to watch and listen. While I think three is at the high end of the age group for this book, it's nice to have both kids enjoy it. The story follows baby David as he goes from one “activity” to another. The things he gets into are very familiar to me both as a mother of three and a grandmother. We are having a lot of fun with this series of books.

I thought I remembered the book when I read it to my children. Was hoping it had more words but the illustrations are amazing! I want books to read to my grandchild over zoom.

My two year old loves the David series. Just a few weeks ago we read the Christmas one over and over because he found it at the library! We now have all three of the diaper David books. Of course they are hilarious stories as are all of David Shannon's books. A few good things... -The are nice sturdy board books that stand up to being handled by a two year old and read a million times -They are just the right size to fit in his busy bag and keep him occupied in the car or a restaurant -They are easy to read. My toddler has memorized the pages and likes to "read" them to me! Definitely a great purchase
