I saw someone else using one of these and thought I could really use one too. This arrived and when I opened it up, it looked like it had a very thin coating of oil on it. It was actually dry once I got it out of the plastic wrapping. It seemed like it was a little tight at the pivot point, but one drop of oil and it worked smoothly. I played around with it a little bit and I really like it. I think this will work great to hold wires while I solder them. I would say that this is of good quality and it is reasonably priced. I am glad that I saw one in use and I was able to pick one up before my next soldering job. I would recomend this to others.

I have now used tool several times, was helpful in getting the job done when you need to get wiring done NOW! Used thus far for primarily for holding two wires in place and applying heatgun to solder sleeve. Have used it to hold two wires while soldering with soldering iron. Much quicker and easier with this hand tool.

After receiving this I just had to try it. If I have any talent soldering is not one of them. I used 2 pieces of wire and propped it up in the driver footwell of my car. Works great. Where has this been all my life?

There isn't much to stay about this tool other than it's of good quality. It's well assembled with comfortable grip on the handle.

Does not hold the wire tight enough.
