It optimizes fuel combustion, lowers emissions, and prevents expensive filter repairs by maintaining cleaner filters when added before refueling every 2,000 km. ## Description Diesel particle filter protector is a highly effective additive that reduces the build-up of particulates and thus increases the service life of the diesel particle filter. Vehicles used for city driving and those that drive short distances are especially affected by blocked diesel particle filters. When used regularly, the diesel particle filter remains clean and expensive repair and servicing times are avoided. Diesel particle filter protector ensures optimal fuel combustion and reduces the build-up of particulates. This also helps in reducing emissions. ## Features - Highly effective additive that reduces the build-up of particulates and thus increases the service life of the diesel particle filter - Suitable for diesel vehicles with diesel particle filters, provided these have not already been equipped with an electronically controlled additive tank system for filter regeneration (as used by Citroen and Peugeot, for example) - Add the diesel particle filter protector to the fuel immediately before filling up after every 2,000 km - The container is sufficient for 50 -70 litres of diesel fuel - Note: Avoid excess dosage and use in combination with diesel soot guard! - Ensures optimum combustion of the fuel, reduces soot formation, lowers emissions and extends the service life of diesel particulate filters - Vehicles used for short trips and city traffic are especially affected by clogged diesel particulate filters ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00VP4WZ2Q | | Brand Name | Liqui Moly | | Capacity | 250 ml | | Color | Red | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,447) | | Fuel Type | Diesel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04100420071805 | | Item Weight | 0.26 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | LIQUI MOLY GmbH | | Material | Plastic | | Model Number | 7180 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 7180 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Liqui Moly - **Capacity:** 250 ml - **Colour:** Red - **Item weight:** 0.26 Kilograms - **Material:** Plastic ## Images ![LIQUI MOLY Diesel Particulate Filter Protector | 250 ml | Diesel additive | SKU: 7180 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/614olVLojTL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How often should you use this ? By miles or by tanks of fuel ?** A: The bottle I believe says every 3,000 miles. But I do it every 2-3 fill ups in my VW TDI. It does say however not to overuse so use it with caution. **Q: How do you use this? pour it in the diesel tank or the dpf fluid tank? it seems to me the best way to clean would be a dpf fluid additive?** A: I had a Ford Powerstroke without a DPF tank, so I just poured it in the fuel tank. I don't know on other brands. **Q: Will this work in a 2014 vw golf tdi 2.0 in the usa?** A: Work with all vw tdi **Q: Can it be used in a durmax ?** A: Any diesel ## Frequently Bought Together - Liqui Moly Diesel Particulate Filter Protector | 250 ml | Diesel additive | SKU: 7180 - LIQUI MOLY Super Diesel Additive | 300 ml | Diesel additive | SKU: 2002 - Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel Cleaner, blue , red, 500ml (2032) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.fr/products/354204962-liqui-moly-diesel-particulate-filter-protector-250-ml-diesel-additive](https://www.desertcart.fr/products/354204962-liqui-moly-diesel-particulate-filter-protector-250-ml-diesel-additive) --- *Product available on Desertcart France* *Store origin: FR* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
