Nothing connects you to the beach like a trusty anchor. These flip flops do the same, no matter where you’re coasting. With a water friendly synthetic strap, high rebound footbed and non-marking rubber outsole. Plus, a cushioning heel airbag for your very deserving feet. Review: the best reef flip flops ive purchased so far - First off let me say: do not buy the ROVER from reef. They start to stink horribly and run small. Second off the FANNING: tripping ****hazard alert*** often times I would trip myself up real bad on the nose because i think the heel part was too high and the nose part was too long and always sat too low which makes you walk with your feet pointed down a little to wear you can catch the front and the front gets dragged and bends inward resulting in a very awkward trip. The anchor do not have these problems at all and also look better. Ok so the Anchor are so far the best ones made by reef in my opinion because of the way they fit the foot. I havent used them very extensively to test the long term durability but I know that every reef flip flops that i have ever had have lasted me a good 5+ years of very heavy year round use. So the ANCHOR fits the best, looks the best, has zero flaws at all quick to wash quick to dry. they dont slide around and you feel in good control. They hit all the check boxes for me. Some may want them to be a little more cushiony as theyre not ultra cushiony but an excellent balance of cushion to control. I like them exactly as they are but would be cool if they offered this same flip flop in an ultra cushiony version and also in real leather. This being said there are a lot of reef flip flops on their site that i havent been able to try on so it could be those are as good as these or better. Review: more comfortable Reef - I've worn Reef fannings (with the bottle opener) for at least 10 years, and I wear flip flops every day, almost all day or all day, year-round. I've always been happy with the Reefs and they've been reasonably durable, and I would plan on needing a new pair every 10 months or so (again, daily use, all-day). I decided to try these anchors for the first time recently. For one thing, I'm thankful not to have the bottle openers (who drinks out of bottles any more anyways?), which for me exclusively served to trap gum or dog crap, when so unfortunate. Also, I'm struck by how much softer, flexible and comfortable they are. While my fannings felt hard and sort of slapped and cracked their way up and down my wood stairways, the anchors feel more like an extension of my foot and much more quiet and responsive. Prior to wearing Reefs, I tried most of the other popular brands of flip flops, and I'll say that these anchors are the most comfortable that I've owned and are perfect for my foot type (wide, somewhat flat, so the arch support and heel cradle are perfect). I can't speak to the durability yet, but I have to imagine that they'll be at least as good as the fannings, which were consistent in being comfortable and holding up for around 10 months of daily use, until the straps start to loosen and the connector to the footbed eventually breaks, if you decide to wear them that long. You know it's going to happen well-before it does, as they just start to get looser and looser after a certain point. Also, in the last pair of fannings I bought, the clear casing around the air cushions in the heel cracked all around. At times they made a squeaking sounds as the cracked plastic rubbed when I stepped, and I had to cut out pieces and least 2 times to make it stop making noises. Otherwise, I've had good experiences with my Reefs, especially with the way they fit my feet. These anchors make me realize that the fannings weren't particularly comfortable, as they are very hard feeling compared to these anchors. I'm very happy with the purchase, and imagine that I will purchase these going forward.

Really nice flip flops
Really love these sandals. First, they have a nice arch support which I find makes my feet feel better and the sandal fits better. I wear these almost daily in the warmer months, which is often in Arizona, and I have no trouble driving a car while wearing them. They last me about 4 years before looking pretty worn; one set failed me when the strap came out of the bottom after 4+ years of frequent wear. One downside is how expensive they are; I started buying them 25 years ago and they only cost $22 back then, so they have gone up by 140% in 25 years. Another downside is that you need to be careful when you walk in them because with all flip flops, the edge can catch on things and cause you to trip (not a particular issue for me, but it occasionally happens, although I have never fallen to the ground). I rate these flip flops 4 stars because of the price.

Great quality, handsome and comfy
These sandals exceeded my expectations. I’m not gonna lie, I love the air pocket look at the heel, super unique, looks like Nikes. I was at first skeptical because some of the reviews said they weren’t as comfortable but the brown ones were discounted so I made the plunge and bought em. I have no idea what people are talking about, these are awesome. Snug fit, thick straps, comfy, look sporty and they even make that “sketch” sound when pivoting. I’ve never had any sandals that did that, so the traction is legit. One more thing, the sole is grippy so your feet aren’t sliding around. Super snug feeling. I live close to Tahoe where mountains and some rough terrain can lead down to beaches. My old pair did horrible in this, but these will most undoubtedly do the job.

Flip flop bliss!
OMG, I am in love with these Reef Anchor flip-flops. A little backstory: I am an ocean guy; a scuba diver; a former ocean lifeguard. For years, my go-to flippies were Reef Twinpins - you know, the ones with the super comfortable, squishy footbed. Then one day, I was in Nassau, Bahamas and after it rained my old Twinpins failed me on some wet marble steps, and I slipped … all the way to the bottom. So I switched flip flops to a brand made by a famous boat shoe maker, because they had anti-slip soles. They were fine, but even after I broke them in they were heavy, and never as comfortable as my Reefs. In fact, I kicked them off to walk the beach in Costa Rica, only to find myself in downtown Tamarindo one day with no shoes. So I ducked into a local shop and came out with another pair of … you guessed it, Twinpins. Bliss. Fast forward to recently, and those Costa Rican Reef flippies were worn flat on the bottom. I decided to try to find the comfort of the Twinpins and the grippy bottom of the other brand, and these Anchors are it. They are supremely comfortable. The textured footbed is like a foot massage. The arch sits right where it is supposed to, and take it from someone with a ruptured disc in my back, the air cushion in the heels do their job. So far, the soles are nice and grippy on boat decks and wet surfaces. Oh, and they don’t make a loud “Flip-flop” sound, because they fit your feet so well. Take it from me - my license plate used to say, “FLPFLPZ,” the Reef Anchors are winners, and affordable, too.

Great Quality and Comfort
Reef flip flops are more expensive than some other brands, but they are made with real rubber and will not slip in wet conditions. They are also comfortable, durable, and hold up extremely well. I tried to go cheaper with a different brand and I got a pair of junk… These are great quality. These were a little tight around the top of my foot at first but after I wore them twice they were perfectly adjusted to my feet and broke in.
