Wonderful! This antique indigo jean jacket fits perfect and looks great. Worth every penny.

A is offering discounts on some sizes, but caution is needed to avoid a mistake. My husband makes this review: * I am 6' 0" tall; 215 #; chest 44"; waist 39" * XL fits very, very well. This is a "waist jacket", and I am old enough to call it an "Ike" or "Eisenhower jacket" * The fit is flattering; but there is space available for a medium sweater. * I typically wear a size 16 1/2 neck and a 34" sleeve--I have some welcome space at the neck and the sleeve extends about 1-1 1/2" below my wrists--I like this a lot * I wanted the lighter color, BUT I saved about $15 with the darker. * Reading reviews here, I DID wash it the first time with 1/4 cup salt and 1/2 cup vinegar--I believe the suggestion was made for purposes of "fixing" the color. [Warm wash and cold rinse.] * Post-wash girth and length remained the same. * NO SMELL, PRE-WASH or POST-WASH. * "Fit and finish" was very good; no defects of any kind seen; fabric quality is sturdy. * I find it a handsome and useful weight/size. I live in the Central Cal. desert, so we do not see much cold, even in Winter. I expect many years of use for this garment. At current 30% off, this is a COMPELLING bargain. I was very impressed by the quality of the Vintage Indigo (distressed) jacket I received. Much heavier denim than Levi's, rugged stitching, classic fit that is also much better than the relaxed Levi's available on Amazon. The inside pockets are generous and sturdy but have no closure flap so if you bent over enough I suppose things could fall out. This jacket is pretty bombproof if you ask me and at half the price of Levi's. I only wish that they made this in size small, which I can't find anywhere. I am 5'9" and 170 lbs, athletic build. I like a high and tight fit on these like Steve McQueen would have rocked, the shoulders and sleeves on this medium size are a bit oversized, the body is just a tad more relaxed and longer than I would like. Most guys would probably be very pleased with this medium. It would work very well over sweaters and such. Update: I ordered the Lee Boss Man vintage style jacket in Medium, it's much tighter fitting than this Wrangler and the vintage wash is much more convincing. The Lee is a much trimmer fit, tight across the shoulders and through the sleeves, slim on the body. It's more the Steve McQueen look I was searching for so it's a keeper. No room for sweaters under the Lee and the denim is much lighter weight than the Wrangler. Lee's the one for me. This Wrangler is very good quality but not quite the fit for me so it goes back. Thankfully Amazon makes returns free and easy so you can try every brand.

A great denim jacket on a cool fall day

I bought a 4X Wrangler jacket and it was HUGE. I returned it and got a 3X Tall Levi's jacket and it was too small. Then I found the "Goldilocks size" that's just right. 3X. It's not a tall but the sleeve length is about as long as most tall sizes. I can put my arms straight out in front of me and my wrists are still covered. I never had a regular length jacket or shirt do that before. This will be my ATV riding jacket since I lost the other one. The label said Bangladesh, not made in Mexico like the ad said. I looked it over and didn't see any defects. One button was hard to fasten but the hole looked like it was cut all the way open. All I did was button and unbutton it about 10 times and it works like it should. When I tried on both Wrangler jackets I was wearing a T-shirt and my forearms itched until I washed them. I always have to wash my clothes before I wear them anyway, so I washed the jacket twice. It still fits, the color looks great, and whatever was on it that made me itch is gone. I like this jacket a lot better than Levi's stretchy denim. Instead of 100% cotton, it's 98% cotton and 2% spandex. You can't treat that the same way you would a pair of jeans when you wash it. My denim jackets always smell smoky when I come home from camping, and they don't get any special treatment when I wash them. All of my clothes are colored and go in the washer unsorted. My jackets get washed separately but at the same temperature, warm, not cold. You don't have to follow the label instructions since it's plain old cotton. Not only do I like the Wrangler jacket a lot better, it cost about $35 less than the overpriced Levi's.

I have had the same jean jacket since the early 90's. It's now so tattered I've cut off the sleeves and use it as a vest with my CMA club colors and patches when I ride my Harley. So - This winter I wanted another jacket and after trying a lot of options...and being VERY frustrated with how small all the coats were I was seeing...I just decided to get another 4XL jean jacket. I am not a small guy - but I do swim, lift, and have very broad shoulders and a 52" chest. In short...it's not easy to find a jacket in my size! I am very glad Wrangler still makes this one. It's a good price, it's heavy denim, and it's just the right fit for my 6'4" height and upper body size in the 4XL size. For $30ish bucks and being Amazon Prime - I'm very happy. Sure, it's way too big in the tummy area, but I am used to that. Anything that fits in over my shoulders and around my chest....I've come to accept it will bag in the middle. A jean jacket is rarely (if ever???) buttoned - when I wear it anyway - so it's not a big deal, the sides hang just fine. I can wear this with just a t-shirt and I still have room to wear a fleece or a hoody under it for the under freezing temps that we get for a few months of the year. I got it (quickly - thanks to Prime! - tried it on - loved it and the wife thought it fit well - we put it back in the box and my family has wrapped it for me for Christmas. I'm sure I will wash it after Christmas to "set" the color so it doesn't bleed onto my other clothes...but other than that, it sure looks like it will serve me well for a couple decades to come.
