The text says it is compatible up to an 12.9 ipad pro, but the picture says it is only compatible to an 11ipad pro. which is true?

Yes, the suction cup gel is removable! While installation, please don't use the 3M dashboard adhesive pad. It is suggested to place the mount directly on your dashboard with the suction cup gel. The suction cup gel is reusable. If it gets dirty, you can rinse it with running water, then air dry it for 10 minutes, and then you can use it again! : )

What size ball adapter does this take?

Too shallow for my slightly thicker garmin tablet by maybe 1/4 or 1/2". if you could include a deeper bracket. it woukd be even more useable.

Hi, if I had this situation, and didn't want to return this, I would take a yard stick and make 2 pieces the length of the tablet, and cover the pieces with black tape or paint them, and this should make up the difference in the width.
