They are extremely light and insulate very well, The only complaint is also a benefit - because they are rectangular, they will fit any shape bladder, but that also means it doesn't fit any bladder perfectly so you have extra insulation material to fold over or pack down in some way. Regardless, it is so light and insulates so well that it is worth it. I highly recommend it for these reasons. I modified mine with a sewing machine to fit into an Osprey Seral 7 lumbar pack with a 1.5 liter bladder. Mine doesn’t have the Velcro flap to close it up and just relies on the pack’s zipper. After filling up with ice cubes and water and zipping up the pack I checked it hourly to see how it worked. It still had the last bits of ice in it after 6 hours at room temperature, around 72F. The unmodified pack with the flap closure would probably work even better.
