Review: Truly a Pro Saw! - Truly a pro saw. I had this exact saw I purchased nearly 40 years ago and it finally needed to be replaced after it went under saltwater in the Hurricane Helene flood. Even then, it still ran and cut but the bearings were finally on their way out. I'm hoping this new saw -- identical -- will last me for the next 40 years! LOL

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does this saw come with the Makita orginal case?**
A: The saw doesn't have a case. It kind of sucks because the base of the saw looks like it can bend easily if you're not too careful.

**Q: Is the base plate durable? it's thinner than my hitachi saw's plate, but didn't feel flimsy like a cheaper skil saw. will it get bent up easily?**
A: I have 4, and they are extremely durable, the oldest 1 is over 10 years. The only way to bend the base is by dropping it onto concrete, a fall that would break your other saws.

**Q: Is this too much saw for a casual diy'r, or should i stick with a skil or ryobi for my needs?**
A: It's a very good saw.

**Q: Does it come saw blades**
A: This saw comes with one blade. Thanks!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smooth, powerful and accurate.
*by R***N on June 15, 2025*

I've got a three circular saws: a worm-drive, this one, and an old Milwaukee I bought forty years ago. I use them a lot. I was using my Makita this morning (A bobcat killed half my chickens, so they're getting a covered pen), and it occurred to me I ought to write a review, because this is the saw I usually grab. I can't say exactly why. It just seems light, nimble, easy to use. It's got a good sight line, it cuts very smoothly, and for whatever reason its just easier to cut accurately right along your mark with this saw. I think somebody must have spent spent a lot of time getting the ergonomics just right. I bought mine eight years ago: it runs good as new. I feel a little guilty abandoning my old Milwaukee, which is indestructible, but a clunky and unwieldy beast.
