WORKS TO KEEP THE BAD PREDATORS AWAY
Through the years, we had had 4 predator kills of our sheep flock. Once it was even a fancy, rented ram that was killed by a cougar! Anyway, now, we have 4 of these fox lights surrounding our pasture, to protect our lambs and ewes. Ever since we installed them, no kills. They hang neatly on the outside of the pasture fence, about 100' apart. They flash at sporadic, intermittent intervals, every color of the rainbow - blue, red, purple, yellow, green, orange. It freaks the predators out, because they don't know what it is. Also, they're durable, and hang out there year-round in all weather. Of course, we have to replace the battery a couple times a year - easy to do. We highly recommend these fox-lights.

Seems to work for us
Too many sleepless nights listening to the pack of coyotes that we have around us so needed to find a solution. Not sure if these are the reason our animals and fowl have stayed safe but has given a peace of mind. I've had raccoons, fox, skunk, and deer on my front porch or right next to it but chickens, ducks, and large animals have been safe just a few hundred feet away. Only ones bothering our chickens and ducks are gophers and skunk. The skunk seem to stay away until first light. I added solar predator eye lights to the mix too. So far coops have kept the safe with lights. The coyotes have steered clear completely from ours and adjoining land. Like literally would be howling within 100 ft of our animals. Goats and mini donkey are much more calm at night and actually use shelters now since installing lights. I have 2 in the pasture near them and one on side of coop a bit further up. No issues through heavy rain and same battery for 4mos that hopefully will last a few more. Now the high heat and beating sun are the next trial for the lights over the next few months. Almost considering putting out at night and taking into the house in the day just to keep batteries from the heat. Considering getting a 4th for our orchard as we have one buck who seems to think our place is a good diner to eat at and at this rate our grapes and fruit will never be tasted by us. Had the gall to eat my little apple tree in a place that wasn't easy for it to get to and no fear to drink from troughs with goats or eat the bird seed within a feet feet of the house. There's plenty of blackberry bushes and clover on our property for deer to eat and ground squirrels, moles, mice, birds, wild turkey, quail and more for the raccoons, fox, coyote for those that think we should share the property with the wildlife.

It Saved my Animals - Despite the Odds!!
This device is a miracle machine! We recently moved to Arkansas. Our pen of Rams (sheep), were forced to live deep in the woods, in a ravine, far away from the house, in coyote/bobcat infested woods. This was literally as good of odds as one of the Mission Impossible films. They should’ve been doomed. But, I had zero options at the time. Planting this device next to their pen worked phenomenally! It flashes like a cop car light, all night long! It actually hurts your eyes to catch a blast of it. While we stayed in the woods, Coyotes would howl all night. I only had to venture out there with a light on one particularly bad night, simply because of my own worries. Needless to say, not one of my animals lost their bacon under the watch of this device! I owe this little devil a ton of money that’s tied up in the value of our animals. It saved the day, figuratively. It only runs at night. Anyway. I’d recommend this product highly! The alternating lights and the 360deg beacon seemed to do just the trick! This thing seems a little expensive, but it’s got a lot of value IMO.

Foxlight's Not Waterproof
Despite having rubber gaskets on both the top and bottom of my Foxlight to prevent moisture from getting in, moisture condensed inside of it this past summer when we had high humidity. This caused the circuit board in the light to corrode and stop working. When I contacted the company about this, they said this wasn't covered by their warranty. The fact that they say this isn't covered by their warranty indicates they know this is a recurring problem for this light they've had complaints about numerous times before. Unless you live in a desert, I'd avoid this product.

Work well, one (fatal?) flaw.
I purchased one of these direct from the inventor in Australia when they first came out. 2nd one in 2018. Heavy pressure from coyotes on my goats and sheep then and I spent some nights atop the hay blocks with a shotgun. The light worked well enough I didn't have to do that any more and I eventually bought 2 more. I had to explain to my neighbors that we did NOT have UFOs landing in the pasture. The downside is that they DO eventually collect moisture (and I live in the high desert) inside and it corrodes the electronics. I did not replace them because by then I also had 3 livestock guardian dogs. (Which eat a lot more BTW). Now years later I'm down to one old Pyrenees and coyotes killed 4 of my 250# ewes last month. We also have mountain lions and wolves though I'm not worried about those. So, I'm gonna try with these again and just hope the moisture problem does not reoccur. Otherwise, 5 stars.

seems to work
first off there is no motion detection at all. it just randomly fires at random intervals. it also fills with water pretty easily so i'll drilled a few drainage holes in it. it does seem to work though. all late night critter shenanigans have been kept to the opposite side of the roof from where this is mounted so i'll be buying another. i have it mounted in a shady area, so after a month i brought it in to top off with a usb charging that didn't take long at all. this leads me the believe the solar cells work incredibly well and i broke out the ladder for nothing. we'll see how it does come winter when it's covered in snow.

I just payed a small fortune cause I want to believe that it can help against attacks from the fox towards my lambs and chickens. I would say for now that it have costed a PREMIUM price, but I finally received it today. I popped the new battery in, and took it to a pitchblack room. Hmmmmmm, a big NOTHING happened, but one thing is for sure something is rattling inside where the LEDs are. Like something is loos. I am SURE that I could open it and check, but then BANG warranty gone I guess.

We were troubled with foxes and wildcats killing our chickens. Since having the lamp we have not had a problem. The battery lasts for ages, we haven’t had to replace it after 9 months of use. It’s expensive but worth it. Highly recommended.
