Amazon Grocery, Chopped Pecans, 8 Oz

My go-to breakfast is a healthy portion of oatmeal. I typically throw in whatever dried fruit or nuts I have laying around. When replenishing my sliced almond stash, I came across these and had to try them, especially given the budget-friendly pricing. What I got was definitely not what I was expecting. As it turns out, these are FINELY chopped pecans! Perfect for blending in with my morning oats, and adding good pecan flavor without the chunky texture of bigger chopped pieces. They are definitely NOT snacking-friendly because the pieces are so small. However, they're an excellent addition for baked goods, stirring into smoothie bowls, or sprinkling over a salad. Or in your morning oats!

I love making muffins and cinnamon rolls on a regular basis, and besides dry fruit I add chopped nuts. These are perfect, because of the size. I do recommend freezing them, as nuts can go rancid if not used quickly. Another thing I do is add these to my vegetarian nut-loaves in conjunction with chopped Walnuts, as it gives the loaf a more distinctive flavor. These are very fresh and flavorful!

I had hoped they’d be good for snacks but they are better for granola, yogurt toppings. Too small for salads and snacks. Might be too small for cookies. Great for frosting toppers if toasted.

I have used these tasty and fragrant chopped Pecans in many dishes. My favorite is using them as a topping for Butter Pecan Ice Cream.

Great nuts to add to my 'overnight oatmeal' to add nutrition, crunchiness and flavor.
