Yes. The tether works by attaching to the mounting bracket on the camera. Any camera with a similar mount should work with this product. I use it with the Hero 4 and 5 since they use the same style mounting bracket.

when done using until next time, can the tether be removed from the anchor once the anchor is stuck to the surface?

Usually a hair drier will remove this type of adhesive.
