Practice Makes Perfect: English Conversation, Premium Second Edition

I have been using this book, and Jean Yates' English Vocabulary book, for tutoring ESL. I find it helpful to have the consistent structure of the lessons. However, I have noticed a few grammatical errors. And now that my students are becoming more focused on English grammar rules, they are picking them out too! It's hard to explain to them that it's wrong in the book. Also, the author is from Virginia and some of the language in the book feels a bit Mid-Atlantic or Southern to me (in Northern New England). But overall, I do like using these books and they have worked well for my students.

I loved the phrases in this book. Very helpful for enyone who is learning English or people who live and work in North America.

Takes forever to be delivered... I really needed this book on time, but now I have to cancel and re-order it. Hopefully I get it this time :( Other than that the book is very good.

I took this to Poland as a supplement for teaching conversation and my two star pupils liked it so much that I left it with them. I will need to buy another when I return to teach English again.

I really like the app is very useful and very easy to understand, you can also listen to it anywhere just put your headphones and you good to go.

I love this book. It's not an overwhelming book, but gives me a lot of knowledge in American English.

Great idiom book to use for instruction. This is not a book for self-study.
