Review: Amazing movie. - I really loved both of these movies ..I watched the 1st one yesterday and had to watch the sequel today.and thought the cast were all amazing and perfect for their parts. I actually wasn't too keen on the original jumanji movie even though I loved robin William These updated jumanji were just so much more. action and scenery .acting plus some very funny scenes I would highly recommend watching Review: Even better than "Welcome to the Jungle" (I know, crazy) - The prequel to this, "Welcome to the Jungle" was a brilliant take on the Jumanji brand. Never to be surpassed, I thought. The Next Level goes even further and better, with brilliant performances by all cast members but especially Jack Black and Dwayne Johnson, as they take on the personas of two retirees (Danny DeVito and Danny Glover). Beautifully done, and just shows how great actors can be. The brilliantly written one-liner comedy lines will probably be missed by younger audiences but made very real to those "getting on a bit". As a (reasonably family-friendly - some not too bad expletives) comedy action adventure it's superb and well worth the six quid desertcart wanted from me. And, of course, I can watch it all again whenever I want. Do stay tuned after the film (the credits go on for a full 10 minutes) to watch the bonus scenes where the actors talk about various aspects and Jake Kasdan (director) explains how the the suspension bridge theme almost went into the first Jumanji film. Well, the second, if you include the original. And stay tuned after the first Bonus scene as there are long pauses between them - don't miss any! Important: watch the first Jumanji film with Dwayne Johnson first, otherwise all the "in jokes" will be totally lost on you.

Good cheesy fun.
The film was great but the bonus content was repetitive and not worth it.

Loved it. It's so funny, could watch over and over. And the price I paid on prime was very reasonable.

Will definitely watch again
This is so funny. Jack Black, Kevin Haart and the Rock are just the best. I watched with my 12 year old and we were both in stitches. Would highly recommend.

This is a direct sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which was partly a sequel and partly a reboot of the 1995 Robin Williams movie. It begins after a time jump when Spencer is in college in NY in a long-distance relationship with Martha, but feeling depressed and cut off from the group of friends. He returns home for Christmas break to find that his grandfather Eddie, played by Danny DeVito is staying in his room while recovering from hip surgery. It is not giving away anything to say he ends up in the game and the rest of the group goes back in to get him out, with unexpected consequences. One of which (again not giving anything away) is that Eddie and his frienemy Milo (played by Danny Glover) end up in the game as well. All of the main cast of characters who appear in the game, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas all appear. But, this time The Rock and Kevin Hart have to play DeVito and Glover's characters (to hilarious results) and Jack Black has to play Fridge. There are also new characters in the game, including Rory McCann (The Hound from Game Of Thrones, and one of the few outside pro wrestling who can make The Rock look small) playing the big-bad, Jurgen The Brutal, and Awkwafina. Colin Hanks also reprises his role, in a bit of a larger role than he had in the first movie (but not much). For those who get the movie on 4k, it looks and sounds great on UHD. The UHD disc has just previews that play after the disc loads, and the movie itself. On the regular blu-ray disc, the extras include approximately an hour's worth of making-of and behind-the-scenes material, a gag reel, and the same previews as on the UHD disc. A good amount of extras, especially since there are fewer extras being included on the physical disc releases these days. Overall, the movie uses the same formula as the first, a blend of comedy, action, and a bit of drama. Yes, there is quite a bit of bad language and some off-color jokes. So, if you are one that would be driven nuts by that, this is not for you. From what I remember the first movie was not exactly squeaky clean either, but this is definitely not a movie for young kids like the original 1995 movie was. The Rock and Kevin Hart are awesome playing old geezers, and once Awkwafina shows up, she pretty much steals every scene she is in. A mid-credits scene clearly sets up a third movie, that will definitely take things in a different direction. While I cannot say that everyone will like the movie, but if you were a fan of the 2017 movie, this is definitely worth checking out.
