Christopher's Original Formulas Comfrey Ointment, 2 Ounce – Herbal Ointment with Organic Comfrey Leaf in a Natural Beeswax and Olive Oil Base

Bought this for my husband after he was complaining of elbow stiffness from going to the gym. It was applied at bedtime, on his elbows for 3 consecutive nights. He says he feels alot better. Definitely recommend this. Thank you for this product.

I read the reviews on this product before I purchased it, and one reviewer was unhappy with the texture of the ointment. It is difficult to get it to come out of the jar, it is made with coconut oil which is thick. However, with a bit of effort you can rub it several times and the friction gives just enough heat to bring some to your fingers that you can use. And the comfrey worked for my pain. I love more natural ingredients as I believe that if it grows your body knows what to do with it. Chemicals are foreign to our bodies, so to find a more natural aid is important to me as there are less side effects. The scent was just fine with me, and I feel I got great value for my money.

This is my first time using anything with comfrey in it. After researching what it is and what it does, I bought this product to put on my shoulder for pain that I’ve been having. I wanted the comfrey to be mixed with good, limited ingredients so I tried it this one. Tonight I applied some on the back of my neck first bc it was sore & it worked pretty much immediately. I also rubbed a little on my temples bc I had a headache, also immediate relief. I know there is a liver damage warning, as there is with many other drugs, so I will be mindful of my usage but I’m impressed so far. I’m waiting to see how my shoulder feels after applying it, I’m not looking for a miracle bc I know better. The fact that I got headache relief from this makes me super happy about it right off the bat. I hope this helps. Also, another review said it has a heavy olive oil smell and I would agree but to me it doesn’t smell bad and once applied it doesn’t really smell like anything.

Love this stuff, I rub anywhere I have pain, inflammation! Nice absorption and effectiveness! Moisturized skin after. Not much of a scent.

As good as their brand of tissue and bone helps my leg pain absorption is effective very heavy ointment but penetrating

The reason I bought this was because I injured my finger by falling on it, so essentially a jammed finger. I wanted to speed up the recovery time and saw that this had good reviews so I went for it. I consistently slathered it on my injury every night before bed, and I did notice a bit of improvement but not a significant amount.. I had to stop using it though because every time I used it I noticed I would have vivid weird dreams.. so with that I decided to not continue using even with my injury not fully healed yet..

I have used this product for many, many years. I’ve always bruised easily and, as a former flight attendant, used to come up with many instances where Comfrey was helpful. In researching remedies for frequent/severe bruising, I came across this brand of comfrey ointment. I had previously been applying Comfrey compresses, but that was both messy and time-consuming. It involved purchasing a ton of Comfrey and putting it in wet, heated compresses on areas that needed pain relief or bruise clearing. It has been a game changer for me. I’ve always been very careful to it to broken skin because it can pose problems for your liver. As long as it is applied topically, without direct access (thru broken skin) to your system, it is significantly safer. Recently, my father, already ill with metastatic cancer, fell and hit his head. He had bruising around his eyes and forehead that made him look like he was wearing an eye mask… one like Robin wore in Batman. As soon as I saw how badly it was bruising, I ordered this and sent it to him. It’s already been making a difference. While the cancer won’t be ever be cured, this product is definitely helping my father to maintain some dignity and, therefore, a degree of quality of life. I’m grateful for truly knowing the efficacy of a product. I’m grateful for all it’s done for me and, now, also for my daddy.

I was looking for a reasonably priced comfrey ointment as I'd sprained my ankle, and struggled to find a product in the shops. Searching revealed a lot of products that included a mix of ingredients, but I was looking for a fairly 'pure' ointment . I spotted this and thought I'd give it a try. I wasnt disappointed. Definitely seemed to help relieve my symptoms and once I'd started using this my ankle started to heal quite quickly. The texture is quite 'waxy' (beeswax is one of the carriers) and might not suit everyone, but a little goes a very long way. Reminded me of the comfrey ointment you used to be able to get years ago!!
