My Very First Prayers (My Very First ... Religious Stories)

My twin boys loved this book so much that they ripped our first copy to shreds when I left it in their room at naptime one day! We're on our second copy and they like me to read several of the prayers to them because many of them are written as if they are poems. Most are short and simple, just what a 2-year-old child needs. They are organized by subject/season and most all are prayers of observation and gratitude. I find myself enjoying them as much as the kids because too often I forget to stop and say "Thank you" to our Lord. This is a great first prayer book to help your children get comfortable with addressing God in a way they can understand.

My son (who is now 19) loved this book as a child. It is my go-to gift for friends having babies or grandbabies! It went out of print for awhile, and I was paying more and more ridiculous prices to get it. SO happy to see it back in print. It's now a smaller size, which I think is actually better for children to hold.

Very nice prayer book for young children. Not totally sold on some of the poems/prayers as it's not necessarily the message we're trying to give our child. But overall very pleased.

My granddaughter loves this prayer book. My son reads it to her at bedtime.

Product was in great condition. Glad I was able to get what I was looking for as well as another book I searched for. Shipping was also accurate.

My son is 2 and he likes reading it; I would recommend it for toddlers; easy reading.

the pages where stuck together a little bit and I slightly ripped a page it was a gift for a christening so I was disappointed in that but the product content itself was great

I bought this as a Christening present. I had a quick look through and thought some of the prayers were beautiful, others touching but all simple and short which is ideal for the tinies. The picutres were also colourful and attractive, much better than all text for small children I very nearly ordered the Lion book of Prayers but on discovering that it was a paper back decided against it. With it being for a very small child it needed to be hard backed. I hope that the parents will enjoy it too.

Lovely children's book which has so many different prayers for different scenarios for example loss of pets etc excellent easy learning book for children lovely illustrated too worth the money :D

My four year old daughter finds a different prayer to read to me before bed every night; some prayers are easy for her, some present a bit more challenge. The book is a great size for little hands, although I would have preferred the text to be a little larger. Not all are prayers, but reflective poems - all are delightful. My heart bursts listening to her read to me and reflecting on what each prayer/poem means. I can't recommend this highly enough; it stands head and shoulders above similar books.

This is what we were looking for. It is smaller than I thought but this doesn't really matter. The illustrations are appropriate and colourful. My little boy (2years old) enjoys paging through it and selecting which prayer to say before bedtime. The prayers are divided into sections if you are looking for something specific. There is a nice mix of modern and traditional prayers as well as short and longer prayers so it should suit everyone.
