Title: A total game changer for our home 🐾 We absolutely love this automatic cat feeder. I got it for my tuxedo cat Mr. Socks and it has made life so much easier. The setup was simple and the instructions were clear which I really appreciated. The portions are consistent and reliable so I do not have to worry about overfeeding or rushing home to make sure he eats on time. It dispenses food right on schedule and the motor is quiet which is important because Mr. Socks gets startled easily. I also love how secure the lid is since he has tried to break into every food container we own. This one keeps the kibble fresh and safely stored. Cleaning it is straightforward and the design looks nice in our space.

I bought 2 feeders for our cats. They've worked decently for the last few months. They both plug into an outlet and have a battery backup. We got these for when I gave birth so we'd feel confident that the cats were getting fed while we were in the hospital. It was so nice to have that peace of mind. We've continued using them because they really are great. Now I don't have to wake up early or rush home from work to make sure they get fed on time. As others have said, the setup is not the easiest and it's very loud. Every step to the setup process is accompanied by a very loud beep (seriously, it's quite loud. Not exaggerating). You can't just directly go to adjusting the portion size of meal # whatever; you have to flip past the clock and flip through any other meals you've programmed, so it's a lot of very loud beeping to do anything. I also noticed that the digital clock runs fast. Over the past few months, it eventually goes faster than my phone's clock by about 4 minutes. One of the feeders also has an issue where once a day, it plays the voice recording I set up, but doesn't immediately dispense food like it should. It waits about 20 seconds, which scares the bejeesus out of my cat, who was summoned by my recorded voice. Overall, these are pretty good feeders and the bowls are easy to clean. I like that the bowls are stainless steel and the feeders themselves are aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend.

I’ve had this for a few months and I love it. I have a medium size dog (30 lbs) and I feed her twice a day. She has long legs so I prop it on a feeder next to her water and the height is perfect. The bowl is a bit small but we have gotten used to it. It’s a great buy especially if you travel a lot. You want to ensure your fur baby is fed on time. I have an alert weekly to ensure I fill the “bowl with food.

My 6 year old daughter recorded a short “come on Angelo, time to eat!” clip, and now my kitten literally runs to the feeder as soon as he hears her voice and the gentle whir of the dispenser. I’ve divided his meals into four equal portions a day, and it dispenses them right on schedule without fail. The portion control and timing options are spot-on, helping me manage his feeding routine effortlessly. A few small things would make this feeder absolutely perfect: • I really wish there was a cordless or rechargeable battery-powered only option, because my curious kitten has a bad habit of chewing on wires. • A low-food or refill indicator would also be amazing—I didn’t realize it had run out of food until my little guy started meowing at me accusingly. • And while the bowl is easy to clean, I do wish it was a bit more whisker-friendly, since some cats (mine included) prefer a shallower, wider dish. • Update: I also wish there was a power on/off option. Some days I want to feed my kitten wet food and in order to do this I have to unplug the power cord AND remove the battery from the feeder to prevent it from dispensing his food at the scheduled time to prevent double feeding my kitten. Despite those minor drawbacks, this feeder has truly made my life easier and my kitten happier. It’s reliable, quiet, and stylish—a winning combination. Great product My cats have lost much needed weight after we started to use the automatic feeder. The feeder is reliable. Only downside is that it’s bit complicated to set up. Hopefully you only Gatorade do it once.

This is all plastic parts , so be sure to clean every day or every other day… after 48 hours, according to vital sips.com plastic generates considerable bacteria, if you wait beyond that 48 hours. I boil my water to make sure all bacteria is sterilized. FYI (Vital sips sell all metal water fountains). Note that the last little shoot where it drops into the bowl cannot be removed for cleaning so I wipe it with alcohol to remove bacteria —best I can do on that part. I also put any residual dry food in the oven to make sure it’s sterile when it goes back inside the system because it tends to spill out when you’re cleaning it. Reassembly after cleaning is a bit tricky— the compartment base and the food tank all need to lineup at the side notches shown for the food tank. You might have to fiddle some with the base so that it rotates clockwise into place. I always check the dispense afterwards to make sure I got it together right. “In the box” says it comes with a charger, which mine did not, though I had an old iPhone plug & adaptor on hand. I don’t wish to return it for a replacement because it’s likely to come the same way. Since I have one on hand already I have not deducted for that. Programming it was a little frustrating because the first item you put in is the time of day. If you toggle through any of that, then it was not obvious it came back for reprogramming it. I finally resolved that issue by unplugging it for a while for it to reset everything. (No battery in) The plus/minus key pressed together is supposed to reset everything, but it did not seem to do the time of day. Later I realized it’s possibly a blank input, so it’s easy to inadvertently toggle through that. To get to the change am to pm, you have to change the first number :ie 5 AM to 5 PM by toggling all the way around those first numbers. So it’s easy to make a mistake on the a.m. or p.m. setting. Except for that it’s relatively easy to program and the feeding numbers 1-6 can be reset using the simultaneous plus minus keys together. You can select one of the feeding settings to correct later, but you end up toggling through a lot of extra numbers. The instructions are fairly good, though it did not tell you how to change the a.m. p.m. and the time of day instruction was not very clearly stated. Also, it did not tell you where the unlock button is, it is not the one that lights up. It’s all the way over on the left side. I got this so that my cats would not cry for food at three in the morning! (Multicat household). It does WONDERS for that! Free feeding cats at night results in fat cats which shortens their life according to my Vet. And other health issues from overweight cats. So restrictive feeding is necessary to keep them at the right weight. But they get hungry at night when I want to sleep! Can’t say how long this will last I just got it, the hope is a year minimum because it’s rather expensive to replace very often. The company did throw in overnight shipping included in the price. This was the best feeder according to the reviews, which is more expensive than the lowest priced items. I did not want Wi-Fi connection because that often is the first thing to break on these type of devices. Simpler is better! I chose the black one because it was five dollars cheaper, and the time is very legible because of the contrast! Love that. This is just a fancy alarm clock with a shoot, and storage container; it’s surprisingly rather expensive for what it is… most electronics seem to be overpriced imo.

We feed our cat dry food in the AM, and wanted an auto-feeder so she wouldn’t associate us with breakfast and wake us up with meowing. We didn’t need wifi, cameras, or anything else that could break or malfunction or complicate things - just a feeder where we could set the time and the portion size, so this fit the bill. Pros: • It was easy to set up the clock and set schedules and portion sizes while following along with the manual. • I also like that pretty much every piece that touches the food can be washed including the container and the silo that pushes the food out. You have to wipe out the chute manually since it’s attached to the electronic part which is no big deal. • It runs without the batteries in, but I like the battery option for going away just in case the power ever went out when we weren’t home. • I unplugged it once to add a longer power cord and thought I would have to reset the whole program, but after about 20-30 seconds it automatically maintained what I had already set, which is nice. • Our cat isn’t a food fiend so hasn’t tried to break into it, but the twist lock on the top seems like it would prevent that pretty well. • One portion is about 1/8 cup of our kibble. The small 3L size holds a surprising amount of food and using the smallest portion size 2x per day, should last at least a month’s worth or more. • We’re transitioning our cat from the dry food she had at the shelter to one that’s a bit more high quality and using this has made it a breeze to transition slowly over the month - I simply added her old food at the bottom, a mix of the two in the middle, and the new food on top, so each day a little bit more of the new food gets mixed in. Cons: • It’s a little rough to take the container off the base, and twist the silo part off as well - I split a nail in the process! Someone with mobility issues or neuropathy would likely have a tough time. • Wish the cord was a little longer. It’s a bit under 5ft and I needed 6 to secure it along the wall and make it look nice where I wanted to place it, so I had to buy a longer one. It’s also a USB-C to USB-A cable which makes it bulkier where I need to plug it in. • Wish it had a “skip” or “hold” option. While learning our cat’s habits I sometimes manually dispensed a portion but would forget that the timed one was still coming, so she’d get extra. Misc/Overall: Didn’t use or need the recording feature, since our goal was to not have her associate us with food, so can’t speak to that. I bought a pack of desiccant packets from another brand which I’ll plan on swapping out once per month. I’d also recommend manually dispensing a portion or two the first time you fill it/whenever you refill it until the food comes out, because the first one came out empty - the food needs to make its way down the chute, and then it works fine. Overall we’ve only had this feeder for a short time but it seems to be functioning just fine.

I got this for my cat so that he can get fed even when I am in the office. The sound of the kibbles hitting the metal bowl alone is sufficient to get them running to the bowl even for the first time. Didn’t need to use the voice recording at all. Did take a while to figure out the setup but once the timings are set, it’s pretty fuss free until you need to top up the food.

Premier point qui fait plaisir, le design, très belle gamelle qui ne fait pas effet plastique cheap, la programmation est facile, notre chat devait être au régime et nous somme des fois de sorties donc la gamelle rempli le job à la perfection. Nous devons lui donner environ 50-55g par jour , nous avons fait 4 programmes sur 6 disponibles, et nous faisons des doses à l'unité car une dose égale 12g de croquette environ, la capacité du réservoir est d'environ 1,2 kg de croquette pour chat, pour des croquette de taille moyenne. Le bruit est discret, cela ne nous réveille pas quand la dose se déclenche à 03h, et nous dormons dans la pièce d'a côté porte ouverte, je recommande 👌

It has a huge tank and it can function unattended for a very long time. If you have enough litter boxes at home, or have a cat that takes care of its business outside, you can be away from home for a couple of weeks without worrying about starving cats. While you're at it, get a water fountain too. Your cats will love you for it.

Works as discribed, so it is good, the only thing is is takes some time to programe the feeds in and when unplugged it does not retain the programmed feeds, so when you unlpug it and move it you have to do the re-programme thats annoying...
