I bought some 120 amp & 175 amp Andereson connectors and upon arrival, I realized that my little crimpers for 10 gauge wire were hopelessly outclassed by the massive tubes I needed to crimp that were as big around as battery terminal wires. I ordered this next day, and when it arrived I was ready. I swapped out the dies with the approprate size and went at it. It worked great. My only complaint is that all of the dies are of the same shape. The "M" shape I think makes a better crimp on a tubular connector, and all of the dies are more hexagonal. The instructions are a lesson in "Chinlish" and almost require a magnifying glass and sense of humor to read. That said I would suggest filling the tool with any grade hydraulic oil suitable for a bottle jack as this is precisely what the tool is based on. **Q: could it be used to crimp on coaxial cable ends. say PL259 to RG213?** A: I don't think so. The hydraulic crimper applies too much pressure and I think that that the plastic/vinyl insulation, covering the enter wire would be crushed. That said, I haven't tried working with a co-axial cable and I could be wrong. If you plan on doing a lot of these connections, I'd suggest you purchase a tool designed specifically for making co-ax connections. **Q: I have to crimp in a tight space. Can someone tell me the dimensions of the head of the tool? Thanks** A: The head on my Amzcnc tool , model YQK-70, is 2 3/4"L x 2 1/8"W x 3/4" T. I hope this helps. I would also advise that the area is tight it might require a second helping hand or , as in my case, a special supporting jig to hold the tool steady while pumping. This type of cutter is for electrical wire (copper or aluminum). There is a warning sticker right on the cutter. If you use it for wire rope (steel), you will be disappointed. The "on/off" sticker on the control knob is reversed. The case is nicer than expected. The cutters have a recess, but do not fit. A few minutes of trimming on the case is enough to make them fit.
