Love this switch. One of the best home automation products I have ever used.
Wow. This is a great scene controller. Very easy to integrate with Smart-Things. The most important thing is to get the sequence right of putting the thing in pairing mode by hitting the big button 3 times and doing the z-wave device pairing. But there are SO many features of this thing. You can change the LED color of each switch. Set up all kinds of automations. The tactile feel is very high end. It is crisp not mushy. I love this switch The 3-way installation was a bit tricky. Not because the device is complicated but I had to map out each wire to understand what went were. So it took 2 days to install. Again, this is not an issue with the unit, but everyone's 3-way wiring is probably different. I finally resorted to using a multi-meter to trace each wire. Which takes maybe 10 minutes. and then then installation was a breeze.

I love this switch/scene controller
This is a great product with a ton of flexibility. Provides direct control of one circuit, and then 4 other buttons. Each button can be programmed to perform different actions on press, double press, hold, etc, which really gives you a ton of possibilities. There is a Home Assistant blueprint out there already for this switch, which makes it super easy to program to control whatever you want. Directions are pretty clear too, though I ultimately had to call an electrician to install mine but that's because I needed a 2-way install and those can get confusing. After getting some help, the two-way control also works flawlessly. Build quality is also nice, and Zooz actually will provide you with firmware updates, which for some reason a lot of other manufacturers refuse to do. Zooz also supports a bunch of home automation platforms, and their support and documentation are quite good. My only minor ding is that the main switch is only a toggle, no dimming, but that's fine for my uses. All that praise provide, I would only really recommend this for someone with a big home automation setup. Otherwise most of the best functionality would be wasted... like what are you going to control? This device is not very useful without other devices and a hub to interact with.

Better than expected
Wish I could give it six stars. We got these to replace 4gang X10 controllers. We chose these as they were the old 4+ zwave wired controllers our search turned up. For our original needs, they are excellent. We are using them to directly control load, just using the line and neutral. Added to Hubitat network with 0 issues. Original needs met. Then comes the sixth star. We discovered (in hubitat, not the Zooz documentation) that all five buttons could be on/off relays or scene controllers (choose for each). Further, the indicator lights can be on/off or always on and have a choice of 7 colors. We were able to color code shared devices a across multiple keypads. Unexpected bonus!

Not As Useful As It Could Be
At first glance this looks like a very useful device that has 1 main button to control a local load plus 4 small buttons wich can be used to set scenes or act as virtual 3-way switches when associated with other Z-Wave load switches. I thought these would be the perfect way to update my 15 year old Insteon keypads and start migrating to Z-Wave. The first weakness of this device shows up as soon as you include it into your Z-Wave network and find that no child devices get created for the small scene buttons. Instead the small buttons just modify the scene value in the central scene device. This means you can't just refer to the individual button status in rules or events within your automation controller but instead have to jump through hoops to detect central scene value changes and associate them back to the buttons. Why in the world make such a nice piece of hardware and then cripple it this way by not creating simple child devices so it can be straight forward to actually use it? You can do Z-Wave direct associations between the small buttons and another switch to establish a virtual 3-way switch configuration but there is no way to do a reverse association from the switch back to the button! This means the button and switch can get out of sync and you may have to push the button multiple times to get it to operate properly. Zooz support has suggested some ways around this by using several rules in your controller to process the central scene commands and keep the button LEDs in sync, but why in the world should that be neccessary? Just create child devices for the buttons and all that nonsense goes away. There is a use case for utilizing the small buttons strictly to set different scenes for a given set of lights and I'm sure the overly complicated central scene approach would be OK for that. I don't know how useful that narrow use case will be to most folks though. I have installed several hundred smart switches over the years and can count on one hand how many times this sort of scene application has come up. I think Zooz should consider a firmware update to broaden the applications for the ZEN32 while also making it simpler to use. It just seems odd that a 15 year old Insteon keypad is more flexible in application, intuitive to use, and just plain easier to program than this latest and greatest Z-Wave device. Update 12/4/2021 Adding a star because when used with Homeseer you can overcomes most of the concerns I have with this device. Too bad tech support is not as familiar with Homeseer as they are with some of the other Z-Wave platforms. If they provided better guidance for using their product with Homeseer they could paint this thing in a much better light.

using to indicate status of garage doors, and to open/close them
I'm using homeseer and getting this to work *for my application* required some scripting. Basically when the button is pushed, it's status has to be cleared otherwise it remembers that is was pushed. I wanted it to act like a momentary switch, just like the buttons for the garage doors...I mean lets keep life simple for the users. The lights are controlled completely independently of the switch state in my setup. There is a switch on the garage door itself that lets homeseer know the state of the garage door. So when that switch is open the light turns red indicating the garage door is open, when the switch is closed, the light turns green. This little setup has worked out PERFECTLY. It is easy to see the door status without having to poke my head in the garage. It gives a very convenient place *inside* the house to control both doors. ( It is also setup to announce the opening and closing of those doors with a spoken sentence.) The switch itself turns some deck lights on and off (non-dimmable led's so it worked out nicely). And I have two buttons left ... need to figure some other equally useful task for them! Getting the entire works set up was a major PITA, there are 2 garage door openers, two switches telling the status of the doors, two controllers that actually control the doors, the homeseer logic (a story in and of itself), and this switch. So this type of thing isn't for the faint of heart, but it also is a really nice setup and an instant hit around the house. The total price tag for all those bits and pieces was about half that of a fancy integrated door controller that doesn't have the same level of integration as this. Setting up the switch was pretty straight forward, I REALLY like the signal strength testing. It included very quickly and easily. ( If you have problems with inclusion, do a factory reset, then include it again) Setting the light colors was down a secret zwave settings path in homeseer but once I found it that was easy to setup. The relay switch works brainlessly with the lights. It is the newer zwave protocol so it announces when someone pushes the button back to homeseer quickly and I have rules setup for that as well. ( It turns on/off other lights on the deck area. ...to bad there isn't a homeseer mosquito laser I would get that in a second!)

Solid and Reliable – Great for Home Automation
I’ve come to really appreciate the quality of Zooz products, and the Zen32 is no exception. I have three of them, and aside from controlling the main relay, I use them to control and monitor remote devices like my swimming pool pump and heater, outside lights, and more. It integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant and there is a Blueprint available that makes it easy to set up and use. The ability to monitor the status of devices is a huge plus, and everything has been reliable so far. Highly recommend Zooz for home automation needs. They deliver consistent quality, and the Zen32 is an excellent addition to my setup. Five stars!

Great Switch and Controller
This switch paired well with Hubitat, I'm using it as a single pole switch as well as using the scene controller to control various other relays and plugs. It can easily be used with both Zooz and non-Zooz devices. Definitely something I would purchase again.

Ties directly to home assistant without issue.
I've had this switch in my 'front room' for several months now and it works great. I have it connected directly to home assistant, and have the buttons as triggers for different things,, including the smart bulbs in the front porch light and a couple of wall sconce lights in said room, controls for the blackout shades on the front window, and even a "panic" button if you will that activates all of the floodlights built into the reolink cameras around the house. The family doesn't think twice about how it works but it seems natural for them and I get to dork out adding different scenes like the party mode which triggers multi colors from the bulbs, and of course "rig for red" as I call it for when I'm gaming at night.. I bought a second one for the kitchen to control a smart fan and some other window shades but I haven't installed it yet.. All in all it's a great controller that teams up well with home assistant, and has held a constant signal with my server.

Best zwave devices for Home Assistant
Best Home Assistant switch option I'm my opinion. Well made. Software programmable for light colour, status and scenes.

Works like a charm with Homeseer
Like : easy install, easy pairing, easy programming Dislike : Scene led operation I installed this for my father in law to control outdoor scene light (pool, shed, etc). He needs something really simple, (multi tap is not an option), so this one with dedicated scene button is perfect. I paired this with homeseer easily. Created scene in few minutes and we were ready to go. What I have not found yet is the lights status. One press shut it, another press light it. If the scene does not work as intended of another device trigger the scene, the light status does not match real status. It might be something doable but I have not found it yet.
