Review: Great Game - Really good game. No problem with delivery.
Review: After our playing the first scenario, I feel like this was a great choice for us. While we love games, this one isn’t bogged down with a bunch of rules, so it’s easy to get into — and great for non-gamers. The game play felt less like a game and more like we were actually investigators piecing together a mystery, thumbs up for its immersion value. While you do have the opportunity to compare yourself to Holmes at the end of each case, I’ll will always win if I have a good time, not how I compare to the great detective. We even purchased a copy for friends of ours since they live too far away to share the table with them.

After our playing the first scenario, I feel like this was a great choice for us. While we love games, this one isn’t bogged down with a bunch of rules, so it’s easy to get into — and great for non-gamers. The game play felt less like a game and more like we were actually investigators piecing together a mystery, thumbs up for its immersion value. While you do have the opportunity to compare yourself to Holmes at the end of each case, I’ll will always win if I have a good time, not how I compare to the great detective. We even purchased a copy for friends of ours since they live too far away to share the table with them.

Played with a group of friends. About an hour per week for 10 weeks. We played remotely via video call- both of us having a set. I even took it on a trip when I had a 5 hour break between flights (you can take just the case fine and the map and things- you don’t need the whole box just to do one case. The cases are quite varied and all of them are solvable but not obvious. This is better than the original game, which we felt ‘cheated’ and made the answers too obscure after about the third case.
