Purelygreat Charcoal Deodorant (Charcoal Unscented)

Does a good job of odor control and lasts all day sometimes to 2 days. Reduced perspiration as well and don't mind the application method but I can see some hating to stir and apply. The thing I like about this one is it's not waxy and washes easily which does not stain or leave the wax on my clothes. Others I've tried have ruined or left a stain that could not be washed off which left a smell. Overall, works for me.

I really did not have high expectations for this stuff, but it really works! I am a typically stinky, sweaty person, and most natural deodorant just (tries to) cover the smell. Low and behold, even the unscented version of this completely prevents me from smelling in the first place. Even with heavy sweating, I can usually wear one coat for around 48 hours before needing to wash it off and reapply. This is a first for me! I'm also pleased to see that despite its texture when applied, it soaks into the skin well and does not stain my clothes. The EWG rating is also great, so I feel good about using it regularly. The container is a little small for the cost, so I'm hoping it lasts me longer than I'm expecting it to. Even so, I would likely buy this again!

My new favourite deodorant for 3/4 seasons. I am now a repeat customer. Texture and Workability For the first 2/3 of the container the paste works well, but becomes chalky and tricky to use after that, even when you stir the mixture consistently from the start. Once you fall into the last 1/3 of the container, it's still easy to apply if you do so right after showering when your skin is still a little damp. Clean shaven it works well, I could imagine it might be difficult for those who do not remove hair from their underarms. Performance I found this product works really well for everyday use, and even with some light physical activity during the fall/winter/spring months. When it becomes really hot outside or you are doing high intensity physical activity over longer periods of time, (more than an hour), it's no longer able to keep up. Essentially just sweats off, though it seems to leave a degree of odor protection. For everyday use in regulated temperatures this product works very well.

I have been looking for a 100% effective, but 100% natural with only clean ingredients deodorant for years. Seems like it would be an easy find, right? ;) Well, now that I finally found it, I want to shout from the rooftops about how non greasy, smooth, and effective it is at killing the stink! I thought about getting Lume, but the many ingredients that had limited data availability and were 3 and 4's (out of 10) had me uneasy. So, I decided to go through the EWG verified product list and hit upon this deodorant brand. This deodorant is like magic! No, seriously. The stink was real, people. From the first swipe and rub, suddenly I smelled nothing. I didn't dare hope that this time, I would truly be stink free, but as luck would have it, this deodorant is the real deal. I have been proudly and happily stink free from the first swipe! Thank you to purelygreat for this miracle product! I'm so grateful to the genius who came up with this simple but amazingly effective deodorant. Thank you, thank you! Update: Now that I have been using this deodorant for a while and have spilled a bit of the glycerin, the remaining ingredients got hard and started to irritate my underarms. I know, per the instructions I'm not supposed to shave and apply right after, but that is what I do - shower, shave and apply deodorant. Well, I'm not about to give up on the best deodorant that I've ever used in my life so I come up with a crafty solution. I went to JoAnn's and got a 2oz bottle of Wilton's food grade glycerin and put a bit into my little jar of purelygreat deodorant. Now, it's good as new! Glycerin is phenomenal in drawing and retaining moisture which is why you need it to balance out the baking soda and keep your underarms soft and rash-free! You can get Wilton's glycerin either here on Amazon or at a craft store like Michael's or JoAnn's or any store with a robust baking supply aisle. Food grade is best, but pharmacy grade glycerin will do as well. Just be sure to keep water out so as to not run the risk of introducing bacteria into the jar.

This deodorant actually works fairly well and dries quickly, doesn't leave any sticky or oily residue on clothes. However, the baking soda included (not sure of the quantity), but it is clearly too much for my underarms. It causes an almost immediate reaction and rash and I itch like crazy. I've been using natural deodorants for over 10 years so it's not that I néed to get use to them. It's literally the baking soda in this product. I wish they would make a version that doesn't have this and I would return to this product. For now, I'm back to looking for another option as my previous deodorant was discontinued in the version I prefer.
