**Q: Do you need to prime this chalkboard first?**
A: The instructions say to prime the board first so I did. It wasn’t difficult to prime the board. It was actually pretty easy. I just took a piece of chalk and put it on side and covered the whole board in chalk. I wiped the chalk off and it was ready to use. Priming the board didn’t harm it or take away from the finish.

**Q: Is this non-porous?**
A: It's typical chalkboard material. It is hard, but does need to be prepped like a regular chalkboard.

**Q: What brand liquid chalk erases easy on these? Want to know before I’d purchase since several reviews say they had trouble erasing. Thank you!!**
A: Chalk erases easily, but you need a magic eraser to erase chalk markers. It comes off easily with these, but just FYI. I would say this pertains to most brands of the chalk markers.

So pleased with this and glad I bought a 2nd one for when little sister starts school. It's nice & bright, just as pictured and most importantly the chalk completely erases easily for use over & over again! It is also light weight, but very sturdy, so I expect it to last many school years to come!
