No drilling required!! The inside top was a little frustrating but that's mainly since I have never installed one before and it was difficult to squeeze inside to look at the inside top and awkward for me to see and work. Also wear a face mask! I didn't think I needed one with the small strips of insulation but my lungs were irritated after. I did wear safety glasses which I recommend as well. Overall great looking piece! I did something to the left glass door it won't close properly but it did coming out of the box so have to do a little tweaking.
