How well does this protect materials inside from the rain? (I will have to walk outside with it often when it rains unexpectently).

I live in Louisiana with numerous & copious showers and walk thru them. Nothing has gotten wet so far, but, I replaced a case once when I forgot it outside right next to the car in 90% chance of rain. My fault that time, it has not happened since. I had one problem: that the telescoping handle stopped working and had to replace it. Otherwise, my years of experience with the case has been good. Not mine, but SOLO's bad.

How high is the handle from the floor when fully extended?

I measured it as 41 and 1/8 inches from floor to the top of the extended handle.

What are the internal dimensions (width, height, and depth) of the main compartment?

I'd have to actually measure the inside dimensions, but I can tell you that there are several compartments within the larger internal one. There is enough room for folders and papers for all the 6 classes I teach.

Is this quiet when it rolls? I'm a teacher and my current rolling bag is so loud you can hear me coming.

It's not overly loud, but not silent.
