These lights are beautiful. I bought the string of 40 lights. The string was the perfect length to wrap around the top rail of my balcony for Christmas. I loved that they were battery powered because I had no electric outlet for them. They ran off 3 AA batteries and the power lasted for three weeks. I have NO complaints and just praise for them. They were sturdy and they will be good again for next Christmas. Like another reviewer, I, too, noticed that they turn themselves off before the morning. I would turn them on after dinner, and they would stay on until after I went to bed. But in the morning they were off. One day I neglected to turn them back on again, but they came on by themselves. So I learned to just forget them and they took care of themselves. These lights were bright, colorful and they had 8 settings for either steady on or different flashing patterns. As I said, they are excellent lights. If I had another balcony or window I would buy more of them.

Incredible lights, they work and look very nice. Exactly what I was looking for. I plan on buying a couple longer sets of these for my Christmas decorations. I really do like these. They aren't searchlight bright, but bright enough for my outside decorations for my Halloween skeletons. I especially like the remote where I can choose the patterns and colors that I like without having to push a button on the battery pack 57 times to get to where I want to go. A goodbye and well worth the money. You won't be disappointed.

- First thing to note is that this is a light string with multiple colors of LEDs, in the same way that string-lights using incandescent bulbs have single-color lights - so this is NOT a string where every LED has multiple colors. That seemed to be a point of confusion in some reviews I'd read for this model. I assume that there *are* some items which have multiple LEDs in each "bulb", but that of course would run the price up significantly. Hey, it's always easy to find things that cost an arm and a leg if that's what someone wants and can afford... - The radio controller works, but not so well from the inside of the house and through brick. Also, I have these on timers, and the "program" seems to default to "Option 1", which is in my opinion far to circus-like with one fast-flashing patterns after another. I prefer the Slow Fade. If I can move well enough to get up onto a step ladder this evening, I'll see whether using the *button* to adjust the setting makes it "stick". - I bought Three sets, and one controller can operate all the sets, so I essentially have two "spares". - One thing that I think is especially nice is that the controller has a Dimmer option. These aren't the brightest LEDs I've had (I have one string I never use because it looks like a string of dang airport landing lights, Holy Angry Neighbors, Batman!!!), but it's still nice to have the option to adjust the brightness to fit one's situation :) - And yes, the "balls" are some form of plastic, but it seems to be pretty strong, because I had laid the strings out on the concrete patio and stepped on one (oops...!) and it didn't break - which was impressive!!!, LOL! They are translucent, white, and "frosted" in texture, which softens the light and makes it look larger than a bare LED would look. Actually, they look like the product photos: glowing balls. I liked the way the photo looked, which is why I tried them. I like it. - The cord is a "silver colored" (probably aluminum) wire inside a clear tube/"coating" which is pretty thick, meaning, protective. In the daylight, it's more subtle than solid-white or solid-green cords. My siding is light tan hardi-plank and light-tan-tones brick, so I like that this blends in pretty well. - If anything "bad" happens, I'll revise my review, but all in all, I'm totally satisfied with this purchase :).

Pretty good strand! Works great for what we needed it for. More of an all purpose strand over the holiday look I was wanting but with the color combos these can stay up all year long.

Perfect finishing touch for my garage man-cave, and the prettiest string lights I’ve ever seen. PROS: -Color. They are colored a light shade of red, orange, blue, and green. I like this because they look less like Christmas lights and more like lights you’d see at a beach bar. -Brightness. They are bright enough to work as functional lights. I can see fine in my garage even with only these on. (They do have a dimmer feature that lets them be more like candle brightness, but I’ve never found a need for this) -Durability. They are very well made. I even stepped on one by accident when i was setting them up and its fine. (The most delicate part is the connection from the plug to the light string, make sure its not too stressed) -The remote. The remote is something i didn’t even think i would need, but it totally brings it all together, i love being able to turn these on/off from my chair. CONS: -the lights arrived very tangled up, i suggest cracking open a cold beer before and after untangling them all. -the remote works from at most, 10 feet away. This wasn't a issue for me, but if your depending on using the remote this might matter to you. -the size of the actual lights. I’m happy with them, but because of the pictures i did expect them to be bigger than they are. In reality they are each the size of a quarter or water bottle lid. -the light effects it talks about aren’t that pretty to me, they just flash/strobe, or turn off certain colors. I never really use them. I think if there was a speed setting for the light effect patterns it would be perfect, because the effect patterns are too fast/crazy. Overall though I am THRILLED with this purchase, and I think someday down the road I will want a few more strings of these! Cheers!

I am an extremely lazy reviewer and this is the first thing I have taken the time to write about after ordering hundreds of items on Amazon but I had to- I love them!! I was nervous to buy without seeing them but they are great! The cord is thick and durable. The lights are vibrant but nicely warm without being overtly harsh. The modes are fun to change up and the seller has sent me many kind messages to ensure I liked this product. I took two strands camping and they looked so amazing around the campfire everyone commented. So much so that my mom bugged me for the two strands and I ended up buying myself two more. These are really awesome! Thanks for making beautiful, sturdy lights :)

I ordered and received the multi coloured globe battery operated version of these lights and I'm impressed. The LEDs are housed in white plastic globes that diffuse their glow nicely. If you miss the look of frosted/painted incandescent holiday lights of days gone by, I think you'll appreciate these. They look great on the steady on setting as well as the different blinking and fading effects. The battery box has a soft rubber or silicone gasket around the opening and closes tightly. Count me impressed. It's a better design at a lower price than what I've seen at the home improvement stores.

A very nice set of lights that we use for our mini christmas tree at home. It fits perfectly on it and looks very nice. My only complaint is that for $10 it was a bit shorter than the mentioned height but not a lot so it wasn't too bad. In any case, a great set of lights to use for mini christmas trees especially because it's the season.

I was a little disappointed with these lights and ended up returning them as a result. When I bought them, I was under the impression that each bulb could change to any of the colours, but that is not the case - each bulb is a specific colour, so some of them are red/orange while others are blue/green. The bulbs themselves do look very good and when they light up they produce a nice light, I was just disappointed to discover that each bulb is a specific colour only. The included patterns are great - there are a few I would not use (such as the flashing/blinking patterns) but there are several others that are very good (such as the slow fade and twinkle patterns). Also mine arrived well-packaged, but when I took them out of the box, they were tangled in a huge mess and it took me at least 20 minutes just to untangle them before I could try them out which was fairly frustrating. Overall I think these lights look great and seem good quality, but I really wish each bulb colour change colour. If you don't mind that each bulb is set to a specific colour, I think these lights would be great!
