For that amount, it meets what I need it to do. We'll see how it holds up. It is pretty basic in terms of a bag. A main compartment with a padded (barely) sleeve, and a front pocket.I completely stuffed it with stuff that I had laying around, no real rhyme or reason:* Jeans* Thermal long sleeve* Two tshirts* Two boxers* Two pairs of socks* Beanie* Down vest (very compressible)* Pillow ~14"x14" (very pliable, definitely smushed it down in there)* Klymit Insulated Static V LiteWith that, it was pretty much stuffed... Maybe deodorant and a toothbrush/paste would fit in as well, but that's about it. Obviously, if you removed the pillow and sleeping pad, you could fit a weekend's plus worth of clothes into it.* Is it the thickest material? No, but it seems durable enough as long as you aren't dragging it down the concrete as you walk.* Does it have great back padding? No, but depending what you pack in it, you can pad it with things like clothing.* Is it comfortable? Decently so, the straps aren't mind blowing, but they seem secure. If you don't weigh it down a lot it should be decently comfortable. I wouldn't put more than 20 lbs into it, but it's a 20L bag, so that's about the max any way.There are no sternum or waist straps.Overall - for $14, if it lasts me a few years of use, I'd consider it a good buy. I don't believe it is a buy-it-for-life type of bag though.I just looked at the prices and it says $35-40 now... I probably wouldn't spend that much money on this bag. I did not get it for a "discount" or whatever is with all the reviews that are 5 stars and always written by someone getting it in exchange for a review.
