I respond fast and with detailed instructions :) The spout is mechanically secured and sealed with high temperature epoxy. When looking for melters, be sure that your spout is mechanically secured! This type of securing is sure to be long lasting and provide you the reliability you need. Works with soy, coconut, paraffin waxes and more - 100% brass fittings - 10lbs of Soy 464 Wax melted. Weight will vary depending on wax. - Melts a full batch of wax quickly and evenly - No mess! Cleans easily, non-stick coating - Temperature ranges from WARM (about 160) to 400 - Size is 5 qts.

Review: Fantastic, Quick, Convenient! - Before getting this I was using the double boiler method with a pouring pitcher that could only hold 2lbs of wax. It took forever to get any real volume! With this melter, I'm able to quadruple my productivity in the same amount of time - it's insanely easy! You CAN put scents in and mix in the pot, but I wouldn't recommend because then you'd have to wash it between each one. Overall, super easy and convenient! No issues at all! Quick note: I love that the plug is connected by magnet so a slight push unplugs it. This makes me feel a lot safer using this in my home!

**Q: Can anyone tell me about your experience using this melter with beeswax?  Any info on your experience is much appreciated.**
A: Many people, including beekeepers, use this to make beeswax candles for their businesses. It works great for beeswax!

**Q: How heavy is the pot?**
A: The pot is only a couple pounds (or approx. 1 Kg) when empty. I tend to load in around 6 pounds of wax at a time, but it can clearly hold about 50% more.

**Q: Can I leave unused wax inside the pot?**
A: Yes I do all the time.

**Q: Can you remelt unused wax in the pot?**
A: yes you can, I never add color dye or fragrance in mine and I always have a little bit of wax left in the bottom and I have even had it half full and remelted just fine

Love this presto pot! Everything works perfectly and it melts wax quickly and kept it at temp. The only 2 negatives- the power plug is magnetic so it can tend to fall out & the valve handle gets SUPER hot when the pot is on/working
