Great quality mechanical watch. Watch body is robust, luminous paint on hands and markers works great when exposed to the proper amount of sunlight making telling time in low lighting easy. Crown is very sturdy and easy to use. Very readable dial. Dates require you to correct each new month that doesn't have 31 days, not an issue just a design aspect of these types of watches. Days of the week can be set to either Spanish or English. I've seen negative reviews stating that its in Spanish so I wanted to point out that when setting the day of the week you choose which of the two languages. The people complaining about that should have read the directions or even tried to change the date and time. Strap itself feels a little thin and cheap compared to the rest of the watch but honestly it does its job fine. Crystal is a little too shiny but not so much its a hindrance. Overall I highly recommend this as a good mechanical watch thats on the cheaper side of the nicer high end watches. The watch I recieved says made in Japan, however they do have units made in Maylasia and China. I don't normally write reviews but I am so satisfied with this watch that I felt compelled to let others know that its a great product.

OK the photo is a little misleading. the Numbers are a little more metallic so it is not as easy to read if you are not looking directly at the dial. I have several seiko sports, and one of the slightly larger field watches like this. the crystal is dome shaped and makes it distort when viewed from the side. the movement keeps good time like all seikos. the Strap... feels cheap and WAY too long. immediately replaced it with a better leather band and a fabric band. it is on the smaller side of the field watches but it is very comfortable. the older Sport series I think are a little better. it look very good just not as easy to read as an everyday field watch should be. with a leather band it dresses up nice. I think it should be under $200 like the old ones were. but all the watches are increasing in price. as far as the DAY function in Spanish one reviewer mentioned it has both English and Spanish on the Day ring, you set it to the correct language and its good to go.

Product arrived faulty, its a nice looking watch but a brand new watch should function. The rotor did not want to spin.

The watch looks a little different in person than the pictures - the body is polished metal, not frosted, and the numerals are shiny/golden , not white. Great watch though. This model is made in Japan, not Thailand or Malaysia

I had considered other feild watches such as the Hamilton khaki, however opted for this seiko due to the better water resistance. The indices on the watch are very nicely done and catch the light in a interesting way. I also appreciate the red seconds hand as well.
