As long as you have a flt surface to attach it to it will work fine. Be sure to note that in the measurements: the screen is 35 inches and if your opening is also 35 inches it will be too short. Part of the screen width is a boarder that must overlap to the edge where it will be mounted. Does that happen with this one?** A: Mine is 2 years old and I'm just coming back to replace it. Only because the cats clawed the screen. The Velcro frame is still attached to the door frame, no gaps, no issues. It's on our main door and is used constantly by humans and animals. No rips along the seams, only where the cats climbed it. **Q: Not sure if this was asked but my door "opening size" is 36" x 83".. Would this screen fit? Or would the outside edge of the screen be a little short?** A: It sounds like it would be a little too small for your opening. The screen measurements are 36"x 83", but this is the total size, including an edges that are secured with the velcro. Because they are secured flat against the frame it takes up about an inch on each side.
