Learned about this commercial brand chili back in 1970 while working @ a hamburger joint. Surprisingly good for canned chili. Has all the supermarket chilis (which seemed to have gotten blander and more puréed over the years)beat by a good bit. Not available in individual cans. Saw it on Amazon. Good value! Froze most of it in small jars for future use. If u have the freezer space and enjoy good chili…definitely worth a try. Beats Hormel and Wolf by a mile.

Delivered on time. Cans were not dented. Quality was superb. Great hit at fall party! I would order again!

i live alone and am handicapped so am eating what amazon sells plus what the tiny italian market right across the street from my house sells, which is nice most SOOOO expensive ! ESPECIALLY MEAT! i eat mostly vegetarian, but do long once and a while for the TASTE of meat and this gives it to me.. i've divvied up the enormous can into freezer storage containers and am using them to make my own chili WITH my own cooked beans AND serving it on top of my pasta. the flavor is very mild, but i have fresh onions chil peppesr and garlic etc i can add to customize it .. anyway... the flavor ..to me.. is VERY satisfying (and the can was very easy to open)

I have judged over 1,000 bowls of competition chili over the past 37 years, so am familiar with features popular with judges. The winners of the World Championship contest are required to publish their recipes, so skills continue to improve. Competition chili cannot be provided to the public on a cost-effective basis, however, as complex ingredients and timing are required. I have also tasted most every canned chili and would only use the majority to edge my driveway. In effect, the typical consumer has no idea of what an excellent bowl of chili should be and I have converted a recipe that has won the world championship four years into a spice packet that also restores flavor lost in the high heat required in the canning process. Therefore, the combination of a batch of the spice chili, combined with Chef Mate (the absolute best canned product) enables a competition quality pot of chili. I am currently exploring ways to exploit commercially, with strong social efforts from the proceeds. Chef Mate is the absolute best.

We liked this chili. Lots of meat, which was kind of a surprise. The meat is very finely ground. There is just enough spice in it to call it chili. I suppose they did that so it would appeal to more people. Easy to add extra spice to it if you want it to be more flavorful. We tried it first and it was fine, but I added a can of tomatoes with green chilis, and a little ground red pepper to the mix the second time we had some. Makes getting a meal on the table fast and easy. We divided all the extra chili we had into containers and put 'em in the freezer for later. One thing though, there was a serious deficiency in the packaging, and the can we received was badly dented in shipping. We had to open it right away, and we originally had purchased it for short term storage.
