I have upgraded from Echo Dot and writing this review after using Echo Dot for 3 years and Echo Show 5 3 days. I strongly believe it is a good upgrade if you get it at a discounted price. Sound quality is better than Echo Dot (It was not good for listening music). This product can be used as table clock with alarm and as a smart device, do not expect much, because other features are not very smooth, even operating the device is very laggy. Camera monitoring is working ok in my Iphone but sometimes it does not work on my second mobile (Android).So, if you want a smart speaker for listening songs, as a table clock and smart device and you are getting it under 4000, then it's a good buy.

Just ask Alexa anything and Watch online daily news, watch movies and play favourite songs. It's just good..Not perfect sometimes Alexa also Confuses what to say or do..

Plenty of features don't even work. Bought it off blinkit.I've used Echo dot before and the sensitivity of the mic with this one couldn't be worse in comparison. Wake-up command doesn't work well and sometimes you have to get close and yell (and it still doesn't work💀).Photo frame feature has been deliberately removed for Indian customers. You can instead just set one image at a time 💀.The Alexa voice assistant itself is over 10y behind on the tech. You have to say the strictly boxed keywords for it to do the respective thing. I'm unsure is even 4k is a low enough price for this. Maybe 2-2.5k?It also lags often.Might as well get a decent speaker for the price. You phone actually has a much better wakeup word sensitivity than this garbage. Test it yourself.The customer support have asked me to factory reset over 4 times in a week for multiple issues. Buy at your own risk.Amazon can actually fix a lot of the software but they don't....Update: the wake-up and voice recognition gets worse day by day. The photo frame already doesn't work in India. If you thought you can just use it as a bluetooth speaker at the very least, sike! It has trash sound quality when you connect it to your phone for audio and it's deliberate. Probably go with Google's hub instead.PS: I can't beleive it's 9k without discounts. No one in their right mind should get this...

The media could not be loaded. I bought this device on 30th April 2023 and have been facing this issue since the purchase. Whenever I use the wakeup word "Alexa" the device won't respond to it 90% of the time, I have to mute it and unmute it to get it working. Tried to exchange it but the customer service guy said it is a common global issue with Echo Show device and Amazon is working on a fix for it. I hope this is true or else I need my device exchanged.Except this issue the device is great and works fine. Get it fixed AMAZON!Everything works fine now!(Update)

While it does come with tons of feature, you're never going to watch YouTube, Prime or Netflix on this. It can't play 1080p videos on YT smoothly.The touch response is terrible. Seriously, its so incredibly laggy, its borderline unusable. Camera is also just there for show unless you have another Show lying around. The camera quality is terrible.Sound is not as bad as I expected. No bass, but I wasn't expecting there to be. Decent enough sound for occasional spotify. Oh and you can't display Spotify lyrics because Amazon wants to ruin every single good thing about this device.Voice response is really good. This is my first dedicated Alexa device, but it understands me very well(Indian accent english) from across the room. Even over noise. So points for that.It looks pretty as a clock. And you get a good responsive Alexa. That's about it.I'd recommend to pitch in a bit more and going with Show 8, tbh.

It has been about 1.5 years since I m having this and from a few months back, she is having voice recognition problems. She does not listen to “ALEXA” not even at top of my voice. I changed the wake word as well but still facing the issue. Has contacted to the Amazon customer care number but they told me to wait for sometime and then just hung up. That’s not good Amazon
