NBA 2K17 Standard Edition - PlayStation 4

I enjoy this way more than 2k18. As a gamer and a fan of 2k, I think 2k17 gives you more freedom to play casually and still enjoy yourself than 2k18. Yes, I think the system pretty much forces you to purchase at least some VC to be able to play comfortably, but things like character customization is much freer. For example, 2k18 will not allow you to place tattoos on certain parts of your body unless your character has a certain rating, and the tattoos are more expensive, which makes for a more limited and frustrating experience. I was also able to overcome the learning curve much faster and be successful in 2k17. I appreciate that I was able to get a good deal for this game. Well worth the money, and shipped quickly. This is the best sport game in the entire universe. Let me tell you guys this, If you decide to buy this game. You better have some idea of playing basketball or at least to know real NBA players skills, movements etc... ' cause if you don't have any idea of Basketball, or if you never watch NBA games or you just have cero feel for this game (Basketball) you should experience hard time and some frustration when playing and getting beat. YOU HAVE TO PLAY REAL BASKETBALL, I mean... Nice passes, Strategies, Pick and roll, Try to find teamates open to make a nice shot and throw on a balance position. Be careful with too many faults (guard carefully) It's real basketball.You should better know the roll of every player. I consider my self this the key to really enjoy this sport game. It is only matter of practicing a lot, practice, practice, practice.

Christmas gift, item as described

This is the first basketball game I had bought in a long time after being disappointed with the EA sports efforts in March Madness 08, the last pro basketball game I had was NBA 06 for my PC, so I can’t compare to the previous year’s installment. I had heard good things about the 2K series, so after seeing this for less than 30 bucks, I decided to get it. Definitely things have changed for the better since the lackluster efforts from the old EA sports basketball games I have. Graphics are fantastic with the game with really good player modeling and stadium modeling. The pregame and halftime show are nice touches and make me feel like I watching a real game. The gameplay is good and feels like a realistic basketball simulation for the most part. Although I won’t say that the gameplay is perfect it is definitely a step in the right direction. It has taken me some time to adjust in the meantime and I do feel like I am terrible at playing the game in my initial efforts. I like the career mode which gives me something to strive for throughout the game. The addition of the small things such as coach talks and other cutscenes are cool but can get a bit annoying over the course of a season. The game commentary is good though and not just the same repeated lines over and over. The music is ok but could be better. Personally, I don’t pay much attention to the music and tend to turn it down. Since I am coming from an old version that is many years old, I am happy with the game so far with the game and gameplay. Is isn’t a perfect basketball game, but it does have a lot of good things going for it. 4 stars

I love to play 2K17. The graphics are awesome and the play moves are smooth. The newer 18/19 2k are garbage. They are pay to play and not worth the headache. Career mode is a lot of fun. You are able to earn VC in the game in a decent amount of time. In newer versions it is awful. So save yourself and do not buy the newer versions.

I'm new to the NBA 2K series being that this is my first. From what I've played so far, it's impressive graphically & the controls are just fine for basic moves, but I wouldn't be the one that you would ask to see if the players are realistically represented within the game. The game itself, a basketball game, is just fine for what it is & I like it.

Very easy to learn. MyCareer is fun as well. Not big on basketball, but this is a very fun game to play.

Standard edition of game, the 2K17 version is one of the best versions of the NBA 2K series during the entire PS4 era. If you’re looking for a version for your PS4, I recommend the 2K17 edition, all the best features and gameplays from the series without a lot of the inferior additions that were added in during other years.
