Would it be that difficult to switch?** A: I learned to ride one of these about a year after riding a regular unicycle. I was about 9 or 10 years old, but I don't remember it being difficult to learn! The main difference was that I had to learn to keep pedaling or idle/rock if you slow down because it's harder to sit still with a higher center of gravity. I would say the most difficult part was learning how to get on the seat and begin pedaling. Once I mastered that the actual riding was about the same. If you can balance well on the regular uni, then just know that learning to ride a 5ft after will be much easier to pick up since you already know how to keep your weight on the seat. Also, I found that rear dismounts were easiest when first riding this one.
