funny but it feels like something healed inside of me when i got to unbox a bratz doll for the first time in 12 years. she brings me so much joy whenever i look at her. LIKES : - she's beautiful all over - very good quality - love the holographic effect of the packaging - awesome poster COULD BE BETTER : - i wish she was packaged more neatly. too much clear tape and a bit messy + had some loose hairs taped down. ended up taking almost all of it off and re-taping. tape also left really bad adhesive marks, but i managed to get them off (both plastic box and cardboard).

I have all three releases of this "1st Edition" Jade--the 2001, 2005, and 2021 variations. The clothes and accessories from this 20 Yearz doll are IDENTICAL to the original 2001 doll's things. I could spot no differences, it was as if I opened my 20 Yearz doll back in 2001. The only thing that is different is the facial screening. The original 2001 doll has thicker, more exaggerated features. The 20 Yearz doll resembles the 2005 release more so in terms of her face. She has much daintier features, with less harsh lines. Her eyes are also placed at more of an angle, and my doll's skin tone has a slightly translucent quality to it. Personally I prefer the softer look of the 20 Yearz doll. I've included a comparison of all three of my Jade dolls so you can see the difference yourself. There are subtle manufacturing differences that don't affect the overall appearance of the doll--a code on her back and holes punched in the shoes for playset use.
