The Fire Set is really lightweight, small and fun to use. It will be so much easier to bring on canoe trips and camping than matches or a lighter (and less waste)! It is obviously of really good quality and I can see it lasting for years! It’s super easy to use to create some fire-starting sparks, I used it to start a fire with birch bark and little pieces of wood! I love the fact that the paracord can be used in emergency situations as well. I’m excited to add this to my summer camping gear! The packaging is also really nice and would make a great gift for my outdoorsy friends. :)

The design of the striker bar, wrapping around the rod is a distinct plus, as I prefer to use a dedicated striking tool. A fire tinder lanyard is a sensible addition and indicates a well-thought-out product. I am happy to recommend this kit.
