What tools is the ZN312 compatible with?

The ZN312 fits any 1/4" NPT air tool: spray guns, plasma cutters, airbrushes, impact wrenches & nailers. Operating at 2-150 PSI, it covers almost all home and professional compressed air needs perfectly.

How often should I drain the filter bowl?

Drain frequency depends on humidity and use. Check the clear bowl: if water hits the 1/3 mark, press the drain button. In humid conditions or for critical tasks like spray painting, drain before every single session.

Will this remove enough moisture for HVLP spray painting?

The ZN312 is a great first-stage filter for water, oil & debris. For most hobby/light pro painting, it provides huge improvements alone. For professional spray painting in humid areas, pair it with a desiccant dryer.

How do I install it correctly? Which direction does air flow?

Follow the flow arrow. Air enters the FEMALE inlet and exits the MALE outlet. Apply 2-3 wraps of Teflon tape to all threads. Hand-tighten, then add a 1/4 turn with a wrench. Full installation takes under 2 minutes.

How long does the filter element last?

The 1-micron filter is reusable. Clean monthly with warm soapy water and air-dry completely. With proper care, one element lasts 12+ months. Need more? Replacement elements are available in our Amazon store.
