DOWAN Ramekins

I love these small, unique bowls. I use them for serving sauces, crostini, salsa, etc. Pleasing, modern look. No chips so far after a lot of use. They seem durable.

I loved these little 6 oz. square porcelain dishes so much that I came back and bought a second of the same set within a week. My regular dinner dishes are white porcelain, so I know how durable, clean-looking and versatile white porcelain is. These little guys are of nice heft and have such a beautiful, modern look to them. They would be fantastic for any kitchen, dining, dinner party use. I'm using ours with one in every room in our house to hold a small stick of selenite, a piece of black tourmaline, and two small Christian medallions to raise the positive energy in the house (since we just purchased it and right away had some odd things start happening). After we had a home clearing/blessing, we were told to put these items in the rooms... and these dishes are the perfect size/shape to hold them and make them look pretty. We'll eventually probably also add a rose quartz and an amethyst to each little dish, and there's more than enough room to do so. And someday if I want to reclaim the dishes for use in the kitchen, they'll fit right in with our other white porcelain ones. Highly recommend!

Fast delivery, great communication and customer service. I will definitely order from them again. No for the product. It was exactly what was described. Perfect tasting size dish. And yes they are oven safe. In fact, we loaded them up in the refrigerator, moved them straight into a 400 degree oven, and slammed them in a commercial dishwasher after use. Not a single loss. Don't let the porcelain scare you. These are not fragile. Description: Like me your buying sight unseen so I will be as clear and accurate as possible. Sorry about being wordy, but I think the details might help you decide if this dish is for you. Size: The dish measures 3-5/8 x 3-5/8 x 1-1/2 tall. The inside diameter is 3-3/8 x 3-3/8 x 1 inch deep. There is a slight taper to the dish so that it is slightly wider at the top and slightly narrower at the bottom, I measured it at the top. At the bottom the outside measures 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 inches. Note: the square dish sits on a ring on the base that elevates the dish 1/8'. I think it helps the dish sit nice on a linen or wood table. However, don't think the side walls of the square dish fall to the table. Again, I prefer this construction, but it might not be obvious when looking on line. Volume: The dish holds a little over 5 ounces if filled to the brim. You of course can't serve or use it that way. I found four ounces worked fine and the dish still presented well with as little as 1 ounce. Finish: I call it a bistro dish. The finish is not perfect fine dining quality, nor did I want or expect that. There are slight wavers and small imperfections in the finish, but so do all my dishes I am using with this. Again. For lack of better terms, it is a bistro dish. And a good price for oven safe porcelain. Color: This is the toughest to describe. Fortunately for me they met my expectations and matched my other plates perfectly. So if in doubt order a set. They are cheap, you'll think of something to use them for if it is a miss. I have found "white" can mean pure, snow white all the way to almost what I would call a light taupe. So here is my best description of these. It is not chalk white. I held it up to my iPhone (which is white) and a sheet of white paper and the dish is not as bright. But it is not what I would call cream either. If just the dish was sitting on a wood table I think most people would say it was white. However, put it on a snow white table cloth, and half would call it cream and the other half might still call it white. Sorry, but that is the best I can do. Bottom line. I enjoyed my purchase and buying experience. I hope this helps.

Small (i.e., 3.5 inch across), and are oven and microwave safe. They clean SO easily (i.e., if forgotten on the counter over night...oops!). I use them a lot...with grapes/fruit, sauces, and single-serving baked goods (e.g., pineapple upside down cakes, muffins). The white porcelain-ceramic is durable, and looks great; elegant. Which makes them perfect for any room: I placed one in my bedroom for small items, one in the bath, and the last 4 in the kitchen for food usage. Oh, also, I knocked one onto my tile floor and didn't chip or crack...so I am pretty happy (or maybe lucky), ha. I recommend them.

I chose these because they were listed on a "best dishes for Crème Brule" list somewhere, but I found that they were a little too deep for that perfect custard to crust ratio. You can solve the problem by filling them much less full of course, but I wished that I had bought shallower dishes. One good thing though, is that these are a great size/shape for putting out snacks, like nuts, olives, condiments, etc. So I can still put them to use.

I love these ramekins. I use them mostly as prep bowls for cooking, like for holding measured spices and sauces before I cook with them. These porcelain ramekins are versatile enough for baking flans and making other baked dishes, like small gratins, and the like. They stack well, and the pointy corners make it easy to pour liquids. It's a very attractive design. It took me a short time to get used to aligning the ramekins for stacking on the countertop, but it is not an inconvenience. These are the best and most versatile ramekins I've ever used.

I'm LOVING these new bowls ! Money very well spent. I prepare a lot of different dishes for single servings, and needed smaller bowls. These bowls fit that need perfectly. These are also great for trying to control portion sizes too. These are well made, attractive & functional, fit easily in your hand, stack well and I love their look / style. I would be proud to put them out at a party full of snacks, dipping sauces, etc.

I bought these to replace some really old (and etched) glass bowls I use for serving small portions of fruit, etc, with our dinners. I like the unique design of them - different than just another square or round bowl!
