However... I've had them for only 4 years and today I wore them outside in ankle deep grass after a rain. Then went to put them back on and the liner I'd put in was wet at the toe of the right boot. Started looking at them and discovered they were splitting near the ankle on the outside. The left one was splitting, too, in exactly the same spot, just not quite as much (yet).
