These deodorizers really work.Never had any of odour issues with my bin once these Absorb are on place. Great value for money.

Fantastic product that does a great job of absorbing odors. I attached one of the containers with command strips on the top of the trashcan lid and it helped to fight odors. If you don't need to hang the packet, you can use them plain. I tossed a refill packet in the bottom of my cat's litter genie and it's helped with the smell a lot. I also tossed a couple of packets in the corners of the fridge, which helped to fight food odors. (I have kimchi and other strong-smelling foods in my fridge.) I like this item because it doesn't just mask bad scents with a stronger scent.

Bought this for Christmas '08 and enjoyed the handsfree operation for about a year and a half. Unfortunately the lid is quite large and I used would put it on a high-chair to empty and twice it has been bumped and fallen to the ground from about 3 feet. The first time it broke the on/off button in the rear of the can and would not work, however I disassembled the unit, cut the wires from the switch and made it operate as always on. The second time the plastic piece between the opening mechanism and the lid broke, to which there is no recourse. None of this is the trash can's fault, just be aware that the lid is heavy and therefore suspectible to damage. In use the can is quite easy, just wave a hand and it opens. And if you need to keep it open for longer trash throwing (i.e. cracking pecans or emptying the sink drainer) just push the open button and it'll stay that way until you tell it to close. It is a bit wider than usual for our small house but the wheels help us be able to move it when we need to. We never did find 18-gallon bags but using stretch 13-gallon bags works good enough for us, I really like the extra size because even when you think you've overloaded the container once you take the bag off the securing ring it holds everything inside the can while you tie it up, no more pieces dropping onto the ground from a tiny trash can. Well once I broke ours I looked into a replacement lid but the cost is prohibitive ($70 when we only paid $130 for the whole unit), so we've just been using it as a SS trash can. Really wish we would've gotten more use out of it but it is my fault for dropping the darn thing so oh well.

Actually work on newer trash receptacles well.

I purchased an aftermarket brand that said fit in the itouchless 20 gallon trashcan we have but they didn't fit or match their description at all. I decided to just buy thre name brand odor filters and I'm glad I did cause I don't want to mess with dry carbon powder brands that are stale and don't do any odor filtering and don't fit. itouchless AbsorbX is what came with the trash can and I'll just stick to buying these from now on! Well done, keeps the smells at bay and is out of the way under the trash can lid, good value for the money though more expensive than the aftermarket brands which didn't fit so what's that worth? Will buy again no problem, easy to install individualy sealed odor filter bags.

This seems well made. I haven’t used it yet, but it is way too big to fit under the lid of a diaper genie. If that is what you’re getting it for, look elsewhere.

These are massive and the adhesive is not strong enough to hold the weight. Originally bought because the plastic holder in my diaper genie broke and I coupd not find a replacement. This is way bigger and does not fit a diaper genie lid. Instead tried to make use of it and use it on our garbage can lid. Within an hour it fell in the garbage from its own weight. By the first day it got lost and mixed in with the garbage. Not sure if it helps with odor or not since it got tossed within 24 hours essentially. Not incredibly useful. Feel like I can't really give it lower stars because it may or may not work well at killing odors, I wouldn't know.
