★★★★★ Five Stars I have used both the original Command picture hanging strips and several lower cost knock off versions, and the difference is noticeable. The Command 10 lb Medium Picture Hanging Strips provide a stronger, more consistent hold and are significantly easier to work with during both installation and removal. I used these to hang multiple medium sized framed prints and a lightweight wall mirror on painted drywall. The strips aligned cleanly, clicked together properly, and allowed me to level each frame before fully securing it. Once mounted, the frames stayed firmly in place with no sagging or gradual slipping, which is something I experienced with cheaper alternatives. Where these truly outperform knock offs is removal. I tested removal on one frame after a few weeks. The Command strips stretched and released as designed, leaving no residue and no paint damage. In contrast, off brand strips I have tried in the past either snapped during removal or pulled paint from the wall. The 10 lb rating feels accurate when used as directed, and the adhesive quality is clearly superior. The 16 pairs offer good value for multiple projects and reduce the need to double up strips, which I often had to do with cheaper options. These are ideal for framed artwork, wall decor, and lightweight mirrors, especially in rentals or finished spaces where wall damage is not acceptable. I would avoid textured or rough surfaces, as with any adhesive based hanger. Overall, this is a case where paying slightly more delivers better performance, reliability, and peace of mind.
