GREAT BAG!! Even better w/ some modifications
This has been amazing and a life saver! It took me forever to figure out how to modify it the way I needed so while I don't do many reviews, I'm going deep on this one. I don't get paid for reviews and have no affiliations with any product links below. Just sharing what I did because other reviews gave me some good ideas to run with. I looked at lot of bags and I'm sure there are others that are just as good, but this one seems to be as advertised. I would highly recommend it and I would also recommend a few at home upgrades to make your traveling easier. I've taken it on two trips over 1,000 miles total on highways, bumpy roads, through winding mountains, and have had ZERO issues. I also didn't even notice it was there while driving...except for me constantly checking on it just in case. It only rained one day when it was parked and empty, but zero water came in. From what I can tell I don't see this not being able to withstand a severe storm as long as the rain isn't coming at you backwards from the ground and getting in the seam. The material is thick like a swimming pool liner and sewn together well. On the second trip (not pictured) we had the entire bag full, and every side was pushing out a little bit. The bag held up great and handled an insane amount of camping gear and suitcases. From what I can remember we had 1 extra-large suitcase, 3 check size suitcases, 3 backpacks, 5 camping chairs, 5 sleeping bags, random equipment, folding tables, and a lot of outdoor family games. Because we have captains chairs and use a third row in the vehicle there is almost zero trunk space so for 2 adults and 3 kids. I need this to last. Below are some ideas you might find helpful for long term use and travel. - I put in a PVC frame after looking at other reviews. Great idea!! Can't tell you how much easier it was to load, unload, and tie down. I also think anyone that has water getting in the bag is having that problem because the bag is folding over itself. It took a minute to build, and I did make it a tight fit. The vinyl has stretched ever so slightly after we jam packed it for two long hauls and now it's a little easier to zip up. - A friend just bought and used a roof bag for his family (different brand) on the trip we went on. I am so happy that I chose the hitch route. Even if I had to buy a hitch trailer for the bag vs. going with a rooftop bag I would. Their roof was caving in and packing and unpacking was horrible. A mother-in-law that was helping them fell and hurt herself, so if you go the roof route, pack a small ladder. - I did order the pad for a rooftop carrier and put it at the bottom of the bag under the PVC pipe frame. I was worried about something puncturing the bottom if the wrong gear was thrown in there haphazardly. - I also ordered and cut a rubber floor mat like you see in restaurant kitchens to go on top of the metal rack on the cargo hitch so the vinyl bag didn't rub against it and somehow tear. I highly suggest putting something between whatever bag you buy and the rack. Otherwise, every bump will slowly rub against your bag and eventually wear a hole in it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073QMGDB8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - The straps work very well. It may take a second to figure out, but once you do they actually stay without issue. Not one came loose on either of the long hauls. HOWEVER, on the first trip I forgot to address the slack in the straps after cinching them so I quickly grabbed some binder clips and they held for a roundtrip 500-mile drive over 80 mph. I wasn't really happy with the look so I got some Velcro I could cut and use to cinch them on the next trip. They worked great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7XX9MBV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - And because it's always better to be safe than sorry, I purchased a lock I could thread through carrier rack and over the bag a few times. This ensures the bag doesn't go flying off the hitch if the straps ever do fail and is a decent deterrent for anyone looking to get in there while it's parked and you are in a store or restaurant. If someone wants to get in they can just cut it, but I think this definitely deters your standard person that would just take advantage of a random situation. I also know the bag isn't going anywhere when I'm driving and that is a piece of mind that makes the purchase worth it. Again, the straps haven't moved at all, but.... if they did for whatever reason this would be the safety net. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QYCLK28?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - Didn't even bother with the combo lock because of above. It's your standard airport luggage style lock that you should use if it's all you have. Again, if they want in the bag.. any bag you find like this no matter the fabric, it can be cut into. - My particular, old, hitch carrier does not have any rails to cinch the straps on to. If yours is the same, then I suggest using these straps and putting them through the grate before you put on the rubber mat or the bag. I put the lower straps through them to cinch and voila. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1NV536?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - And lastly, when you go on a trip that isn't packing the bag full I recommend some bungees that can go from one side to the other and keep anything from bouncing around. I used these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F73XDPM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - I am not collapsing this bag after use and instead am using it to store camping gear and other frequent travel items that are kind of a pain to store. For this purpose, I put two pieces of Velcro over the top section of the PVC so they can catch the outside of the bag and help it keep its shape even when it's not zipped up. All in all, I got the bag on a lightening deal and thought heck.. that was cheap. Then, I did all of the above and killed the "cheap" deal. However, I feel like I can get a lot of use out of this bag and if it ever does die on me the rest of the items are all transferrable to the new one. For the quality, the size, and the price, this is a good purchase you won't regret it. I've had several compliments wherever we go.

Road Trip Hero — So Much Space!
AMAZING — especially if you’re moving or taking a long road trip! I cannot recommend this Car Roof Bag enough. I moved two states away, with a 15-hour drive ahead of me, and this was hands-down the best purchase I made for the entire move. A friend recommended it to me, and I’m so glad she did! I used vacuum-sealed bags for my clothes, which made a huge difference, and I was able to fit the majority of my wardrobe in this carrier. I even put my huge dog bed on the bottom, and everything packed in perfectly. The amount of space this bag adds is seriously impressive. The quality is solid, especially for the price. It feels durable, dependable, and way more affordable than I expected for something that worked this well. We were extra careful when strapping it down to the racks on my SUV, and I drove mostly between 60 and 75 mph the entire way. It didn’t budge once! If you’re moving, traveling with family, packing bulky items, or just need extra storage without spending a fortune, GET THIS. It made my move so much easier and gave me so much extra room inside my car. Totally worth it!

Stable, water proof, need more than one person to use
I bought this bag to move from Lubbock, Texas to New Orleans, Louisiana. I was able to secure the bag and place items in it although I found because it was waterproof and the material it was made of doing this alone as a 5 ‘3 woman had its challenges. Even though I had to step up to get on the roof of my small SUV I found it difficult to place items effectively. I don’t think that is necessarily because of the bag however because of the rigidity of the bag, I did have problem zipping it. And flipping over the seal to make sure that it was waterproof. This was important because I was traveling from an area that had 6 inches of snow down to the Gulf Coast, where it was raining. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the bag on top of my car. I used it with a trailer and had no problems whatsoever with it. It did not come undone. Nothing moved around. I didn’t have any noise from it. I was very pleased. Overall, the quality and stability was very good as I said it was just difficult for me to manage by myself getting it completely zipped and closed securely. I have a 2024 Mazda CX 50 they ride lower to the ground so as I said, I had to step up, but I still had difficulty trying to get everything in place as a woman alone. I would’ve preferred to have a ladder but unfortunately that was not available to me. I probably would’ve risk getting on the hood of my car, however with the 6 inches of snow and ice that had accumulated that I didn’t feel like that was a safe option. I think it’s a phenomenal purchase for what needed to be done. I will use it in the future. It came with the mat to protect your roof of your car. I secured mine to the crossbars on my car. I was not able to hear any noise from it. It helps

Great Purchase for Large Families!
This MeeFar roof top car bag is great for big families that need extra room in the vehicle! We’ve taken it on 2 long trips of 8+ hours so far and about 4 shorter trips. On both of our long trips we went through rain storms and both times our luggage was kept dry during both trips. No leaking on either trip. Just make sure the flap is pulled down and make sure all straps are attached. We have a van so it is easy for me to slide the doors open and leave them open and just stand and lay this out. If you have 2 people it goes a lot easier. The anti-slip mat under it is a great addition to keep it from resting directly on your roof top. As far as storage capacity we have a big suitcase and a smaller suit case. These are fabric, but we have 4 kids that use what I would call a kid size suitcase that a hard backs. Our last trip we also set 2 beach chairs on top of that and it fit as well along with 2 Shibumi Shades (these don’t take up a lot of room). We’ve considered buying a larger one just to be able to put more stuff up there. Overall, this particular bag IMO would hold 4 large suitcases easy. The straps are sturdy and durable so far. They can be a little difficult to adjust, but once you figure out the best way for you to adjust them it’s super easy. The straps stay put and do not slide which is what you want. The logo is on the front so you know where to face it. The zippers are heavy duty and once you open it all the way up you can lay the top over which makes loading it easier. Overall, if you’re like us and have 4 kids and need extra room in your vehicle this is a great purchase to help with that. It’s made of very durable material and does exactly what it’s designed for. It’s a great and easy addition to make more Room for your trips. It’s been put to the test multiple times for us and it’s still working great.

ROOMIEST DECISION I EVER MADE!
I just want to say that I have NOT been paid, offered money/reimbursement/discounts or gifted this item. I paid for this item and my review is my own without any influence. Now that that’s out of the way, if you are considering a soft rooftop storage solution and don’t want to commit to a hardtop, let this be the review you need! I took a vacation with my best friend and her 2 kids ages 7 & 9 and toddler age 1.5. The trip was about 15-17 hours each way due to distance and having to stop for multiple breaks for the kids…and if you have ever traveled with kids you know they want to bring all their favorite snacks, food, drinks, toys, blankies, iPads, gadgets, and well even room in a 7-8 person vehicle is still limited when you leave home for anything longer than 3-4 days with more than 4 people and we left for 12 days. I initially considered buying for a trip I have in late September, since I’m offering to be the carpool driver in my 7 person SUV and thought this trip would be a great test run for both quality and durability, as well as ease of use. I give this 5 stars hands down. It was a great purchase! I researched several brands, read countless reviews, examined the quality to the best of my ability and landed on this one. It was this or RoofPax and this one I do believe is far superior. Well packaged and easy to follow directions, I was able to get it setup and ready to go in 10 -15 mins the first time and then 5-10 mins the second time. It comes with a slip grip pad (same as the foam style anti-slip rug pad but with better grip) to put between your rooftop and bag. Great to keep from scratching the top and extra grip protection so it doesn’t slide around while in motion. It has several points of attachment with sturdy clips and additional attachment to accommodate vehicles without roof crossbars. The material is a nice heavy duty vinyl with a solid waterproof zipper that comes with “suitcase lock” setup for protection and a large overhang on the 3 sides with heavy duty velcro to cover and act as additional waterproofing for the zipper so nothing gets wets. As you can see from the photos, this SUV had crossbars but not side rails. It is setup to be used for side rails as best option due to the way the straps are attached to the bag. That said, I just turned it 90 degrees and decided that was how it was gonna have to be lol. Too late to worry and it was time to go! It worked flawlessly!! I purchased the 20 cubic feet and yeah… SO MUCH ROOM. Here’s the items I crammed into it only to realize I still had room for more: 2 medium 25-27 in luggage suitcases (these are one size down from the largest) 2 kids duffel bags 3 pillows (king size) 2 kids life vests 1 toddler life vest suit 1 toddler water inflatable A box of diapers A large telescope A couple blankets 2 carry bags of clothes from shopping on vacation And a few more small things that tucked in. Let me say we left with more than we started with and 90% was packed into this storage space and there was still room! Truly shocked by everything that fit in here! Seriously it’s worth the buy! Quality and durability is 5 stars as well We drove about 7 hours or so on the way back in several rainstorms of different intensities and intervals and nothing was wet when we arrived home. This is truly waterproof no matter what direction you have it, though it does have an intended directional for use. The straps are solid and didn’t stretch very much and I always checked them anyway time we stopped because I was paranoid about it not withstanding the wind speed and vibrations of driving but it didn’t flinch or break. On the way home I was able to not worry at all. I had complete faith in it! I’m a 34 year old single lady and I figured this out on the fly… literally unboxed in the driveway 30 mins before leaving and packed it myself while my friend wrangled the kids and last minute potty breaks. Having a friend or partner to help load and unload definitely helps but not required! Additionally, I saw the other brand I mentioned on several rooftops and mine not only looked way better, but those didn’t seem to be near as quality as this one and I’m glad I went with this brand!

Worked perfectly for a 2500 mile move across country.
I needed some extra cargo space for our planned move across country this past month. The trip was going to be approx 2500 miles long and last almost two weeks. The two weeks were for the 4-5 days of actual drive time to our destination with the remainder having to do with waiting for escrow to close on our house. So the cargo carrier I planned to buy had to be durable and last for the entire time lashed to the roof of my SUV. Oh, and it had to be under $150.00 USD. I began to research soft cargo bags and found a mixed bag of reviews. Most, in this price rang at least, seemed to have questionable durability for trips of this length. Many people complained about rips or tears in the fabric, straps ripping or not working at all, or that the carriers fail at being weatherproof. Many also have dubious warranties (I contacted one seller and was given a vague response to my question if they even offered a warranty - they lost my business). And then I came across this carrier from Xbeek - the Meefar. The cargo bag hit all the right notes in its listing. It also had a decent warranty and refund policy which I was happy with. My only concern, at the time of purchase, was the number of reviews and the ratings (small and mediocre, respectively). But time was running out for us, with our move rapidly approaching, and I needed a bag now, so I placed my order and hoped for the best. The bag was delivered quickly and arrived as shown in the first pic. The second pic shows what you get when the bag is opened (inside you will find the cargo bag, cargo mat, a luggage lock, straps for use if you lack a roof rack, a storage bag, and instructions). I inspected the bag and found it to appear very well made of a thick rubber/canvas material. The zippers look durable and are protected by material (the orange stripe on the bag) to help keep water / rain from getting inside. The straps look okay and have plastic clips. They are attached to the cargo bag at points that are reinforced areas. All looked like the making of a quality product. Moving day arrived and it was hectic (to say the least). I'm sorry not to have taken pics of the initial installation and loading of the bag. For the most part it was easy to install. My SUV has a cargo rack so attaching the bag was very straight-forward (the instructions are only adequate). I placed the cargo mat on the roof to protect it from the bag, then placed the bag on top of it. Next came the filling of the bag with items we couldn't get on the moving truck. I bought several plastic storage containers to pack items in and protect them from water should any leaks occurred. I then tried to attach, and adjust, the cargo bag straps to my roof rack. I found this to be a problem as the straps were very difficult to adjust (at least they were for me). I'm not unused to using this kind of strap for securing, for example, camping equipment. But in this bag's case I found them very hard to use and set correctly. I don't know if it has to do with the strap material, the design of the plastic hardware, or even me, but whatever the reason they were a problem for me to use. Finally, all was ready to go. The last three pics show the condition of the bag after 2500 miles and nearly two weeks attached to the roof of my car. During our drive, I regularly drove at 65-70 mph (posted speeds were 80), in areas with high winds (Wyoming and Nebraska), and scattered rain. I found that the bag held-up perfectly. Aside from the bugs and grime of the road, the bag was perfect and displayed little signs of wear. Also, the inside was as clean as when I had first packed it. Awesome! Pros and cons: Pros: 1. Well made with great water-resistant materials. 2. Large capacity. 3.Durable. Cons: 1. Straps are difficult to adjust. 2. Luggage lock never used as there was no combination included to unlock it. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone going on a trip of this length / duration.

High-quality bag - ideal for extra cargo needs
This was a great purchase and a must for a recent extended beach vacation. The bag is made of heavy-duty vinyl and features a heavy-duty zipper and several strong velcro straps for extra security. The bag fit perfectly on top of my 2025 Subaru Forester (it partially covered a sunroof, but we seldom use it). The 15 cubic foot capacity easily accommodated four regular sized beach chairs, two large beach umbrellas, and multiple smaller umbrellas. The bag is clearly high quality and will hopefully serve us well for many trips to come. I highly recommend this bag for any trip that requires extra cargo space.

secure and water resistant roof top cargo bag
if you have a roof rack and a small vehicle, we really recommend this carrier bag. Holds quite a bit and keeps everything dry and free from bugs. Not sure how durable it will be but it seems to be made well. Our next rip from Montana to California and back will be the test for that.

Never again !!!
Clear evidence that this was a return and tried to ship it to another customer. Received the cargo bag dirty and all tie-down straps were unravelled and instruction page was all crumpled. I contacted MeeFar (manufacturer) directly and although they can’t help me directly because I live in Canada they were very helpful. I’m just writing this review so the manufacturer doesn’t get a bad rap. You might be asking why don’t I just return it for a new and clean one. I need the cargo bag right away because of planned trip. Still waiting to hear back from the seller but doubt very much anything will come from this.
