California Basics 12-Pack Gauze Bandage Roll with Tape, 2 Inches x 4 Yards - Soft, Stretchable & Breathable Wrap for Wound Care, First Aid & Medical Supplies - White

I'm always a little leery when I opt for value-based medical products, however, I've been very happy with this 36-pack of gauze bandage rolls. Each roll is 4" wide and 4 yards stretched out. These have proven to be very good as supplemental bandaging for my leg as I address some wound care and compression needs. I was concerned that the loose weave may not compress very well, however, these have been great as the initial bandage roll around my wound. I then use an ace wrap to add additional compression. These are latex-free. That's a huge deal as I do have a latex allergy. If they fall short a little bit, it's probably in the area of absorption but I'd still consider these to be good even in that area. They've certainly met my needs and they've absorbed nicely without sticking to my wound. Each roll is individually wrapped. the roll of tape was included, though that's no real reason to consider the package. It's a simple roll of tape. My primary concern is having quality bandages at a fair price and these certainly fit my needs nicely. These are indicated as being sterile and considering the individual wrapping I'd lean toward accepting that claim. Overall, I've been using these consistently and each roll has had consistent quality and been exactly as promised. The quality is great, the pricing is fair, the value is good, and my leg is healing. I would easily buy these again and will most likely need to do so in the near future.

The gauze rolls available at local stores are flimsy and narrow. These rolls are sturdy, can be stretched to cover the needed area, and are easily secured with clear tape. Two thumbs up!

At first I was going to return these rolls and give them 1 star because the gauze was too thin to be used as a bandage. However I’ve discovered that if I use a large thicker gauze pad directly on my wound then wrap it with this rolled gauze it is almost the perfect combo. If you’re looking to cover a moist wound with this alone ~ keep searching because it’s too thin....especially if you are applying any type of ointment or cream to your wounds first. You will be disappointed. This is probably not a high quality gauze, but you will save a lot of money if you use it for the purpose of holding another high quality gauze to protect and cover the wound. For me, this has worked “okay” to wrap my calf however if i think I may search for a 4” wide gauze roll next time. I’ve included pictures of how I use this and tried to show you how thin it is so you have no surprises. In the picture I show the gauze pad I’ve found that works very well to wrap my calf first. Fully unfolded it is still thick enough to still cover cream or ointment and it wraps completely around my calf (plus 4”) Then I’ve taken a knee sock, cut off the foot and top band, and this holds all the mummy bandages in place and keeps it clean. I was using the colorful elastic wrap bandages I purchase on amazon for a great price but i found those were too hot after awhile and made my healing wounds itchy. Also, I don’t find that I can re-use it after applying a clean bandage....even though it doesn’t touch my wounds directly it’s been a one time use thing. The 5 star rating is based solely on the purpose I’ve used it for. Hope this helps somebody!

The California Basics Gauze Bandage Roll with Tape is a great product for everyday first aid. The gauze is soft and breathable, making it comfortable to wear on cuts, wounds, or scrapes without irritating the skin. The tape holds the bandage securely in place, and I love that it’s included in the package, saving time when applying. The roll is also easy to tear, making it convenient to use. My only small critique is that the tape could be a little stickier; sometimes, it doesn’t stay in place as well as I’d like, especially on active areas of the body. Despite this, it’s still an excellent choice for your first aid kit. Would definitely recommend!

Very stretchy and very thin but works so far. The included roll of tape isn't my cup of tea. But compared to everything else that Amazon sells and their price, This is the best value. This is my second order within 3 months. That should tell you what I like about these gauze rolls.

Out of all the gauze rolls out there on Amazon these are the best without a doubt. The others do the job too I guess but they are very stringy and pull easy. Whereas the california brand holds much better.

These were not as large as I was expecting. Definitely not 2x4 inches. The width is correct but the length is way shorter. There's enough in the box that I can use them for what I need but they do not match what's pictured.
