The first game is better
I bought this game for my kids cause they asked for the first one I thought the sequel would be just as good. I don’t think my kids are really into it. They got a little confused. I have to ask him again and see if they were gonna play us some more

Great game, must play if you enjoyed the first
The story doesn't hit quite as hard as the first game, and I wish there were about one or two "layers" deeper worth of biomes, but this is a very worthy Subnautica sequel. You learn more about the world, lots of new critters, and the game looks and RUNS much butter than the original. The ocean feels properly alive now. It's also a little bit easier for better or worse. If you liked Subnautica there's no reason to miss Below Zero.

Not like the first and my kids will not play it
My kids say the original is better. I purchased this by accident, thinking it was the original, but the original isn't out on PS5 so I bought this one to be safe. My son begged for Subnautica for Christmas and I wondered why he wasn't playing this game even though it was the sequel. I figured it would still be similar and fun. My 15 year old daughter told me after a while that she tried to play it as well, and it's nothing like the first. I guess it's actually a bit harder, so now they both won't play the game, and I'm out of 30 bucks.
