One of my two pool skimmer doors finally failed by breaking free of the mount. And if one door failed, the other door would soon follow, so I ordered two replacements. I’ve replaced these doors several times in the past and the process is pretty straight-forward. After a quick search I ordered these new skimmer doors. They were offered at a good price (especially when ordering two) and came with good reviews. My order arrived on-time and in good condition. When trying to install these doors, however, I noticed the mounting brackets had been attached to both door backwards, preventing the door from pivoting open toward the skimmer basket. The doors simply snap on the mounting bracket, so fixing this unexpected error was easy. The new doors are installed and performing as expected.

Fits just like the original Works great and costs a lot less than original manufacturers. I ordered an extra for a spare for my other skimmer.

As a previous reviewer commented: "...the flapper was molded in a die whose two parts were misaligned. This created flashing sticking out of the bottom of the flapper that would hang up on on the base plate and not allow it to flap freely." It is easy to fix by bowing the base plate to free the flapper from the base plate. trim that extra flashing (I forgot to take a picture before I trimmed it). Also, my flapper was facing the wrong direction. It will likely work in either direction, but I turned the flapper around when I reinstalled the base plate (after trimming the flashing) so that the INSTALLER ATTENTION lettering was facing the pool, not the skimmer basket. This is the ALL FLAT side of the flapper towards the pool, and the side with the "step" pointing towards the skimmer. I researched many pictures of other manufacturers, and I believe this to be correct (other Chinese versions have it "wrong" like this one, IMO).

When they advertise exact replacement they weren't kidding. Nice and easy to swap out as well.

I this was an exact fit replacement, so that was nice. But after a year, in our hot tub, the plastic, and split at the top, making the float, part full of water, and the little knobs on the bottom side that allow it to hinge and swing up and close had worn off. The one I installed in my pool has done better because probably not as harsh conditions. So not bad for $5 but I’ll probably try the OEM part next.
