What is the diameter of the bucket?

There are 4 diameters, actually 5. The bucket is tapered so it has a smaller diameter on the bottom than the top. The bucket also has an inner and and outer diameter because it has wall thickness and molding indentions. The 5th diameter is at the top and includes the flanged handles which stick out further than the widest diameter of the top outer diameter. So, for example, if you are interested in what diameter this bucket could fit inside, you would be interested in the outermost diameter at the top of the can which includes the handles on each side. That is 18 inches. Otherwise, the top inner diameter is 14 and 1/4 inches. If you are interested to know what diameter can would fit inside this can, that would be the bottom inside diameter, which is just about 12 inches.

The Gray, Yellow, and White models are NSF approved for food contact.  The other colors are NOT.  The NSF approved ones are commonly used in the food industry to store bulk ingredients, including liquids.  If you have ever bought something in the grocery store, you have eaten food that has been stored in these containers.  I stored potable water in a gray one for about 6 months; I boiled a pot of the water, let it cool, and did a taste / odor check:  there was nothing, no plastic odor nor taste.  All that aside, I personally prefer stainless steel or glass for food contact.  But hey if zombies attack - I'll have no problem drinking water stored in these containers.

I'm looking for a bag that fits the 10 gallon can, any suggestions?  The standard 13 gallon kitchen bags are too narrow for this container
