Insanely good details, simple and perfect. I did put together a good controller for the first time, and I count this as reliable. Nothing broke easily and I was able to put these things together simply. Everything fit good, and feels good in my hand.

Came out awesome, doesn’t take long to do if you’re comfortable taking stuff apart. Heat gun or hair dryer to soften original touch pad, so prepare for that. That was the most challenging part, as well as the little clear plastic light guide parts to install in new touch pad bracket. Other than that it was a breeze. Just be patient and have fun with it. Love the wood pattern, it has a soft feel to it and it is great quality made parts!

The wood grain detail looks so much better than I had expected from the product listing. I paired it with a soft green faceplate and matte gold buttons also from this same seller, and am extremely happy with the end result. There was, however, a slight manufacturing error with the touch pad cover & mount - the touch pad cover I received was designed to attach to the mount with two screws, but the included mount was designed to be attached with one screw and a clip. I was able to make it work by modifying the mount, sanding off the sprue where the clip snaps in and drilling a small hole for the second screw. Otherwise, all of the screw holes, clips, spacers, etc, matched the default shell perfectly and everything fit like a dream. The installation instructions on their website are very thorough and do an excellent job of walking through the deconstruction and reconstruction of your controller. Be aware that there are a few different models of PS5 controller, though, so the internal design of your controller may vary slightly. Was still easy enough to figure out and follow along despite not being the exact same. If you have experience building a PC, this is on a similar level of difficulty (if only because the haptic shoulder buttons are kind of tricky). If you have never assembled electronics before, this is a good beginner project without investing into the cost of a full PC build. You are going to feel weird about handling the motherboard and have to occasionally use what seems like an uncomfortable amount of force to pry apart clips and remove ribbon cables. but if you can build a piece of flatpack furniture or do basic maintenance & repairs on a car, you can handle a PS5 controller. Make sure to keep the included plastic pry bar. It's the perfect tool in case you need to open the controller again in the future for cleaning or repair.

Good quality, and fits well with the Risemap Spark kit

I bought this shell and the controller for an early Christmas present for my Fiancé. He absolutely loves it! It didn't take him too long to put together. Maybe an hour and a half? The only down side is that he wasn't able to get the computer chip off of the other controllers touchpad. So he had to use the original touch pad instead of the custom one. Other than that though, it's perfect and works like a charm!

LOVE it!!! But I hated the process. There’s alot to this. I also changed the shell to my Xbox controller, very easy. This took a few hours. If you’re gonna go through this process, might as well change out the buttons, thumbsticks and D-pad. Once you begin you’ll realize the same thing, that you don’t want to do this twice. I have a model kit tool set, makes this much easier. If you don’t have that and don’t want to get that, they provide you with the basic tools you’ll need. Will need a heat gun, no getting around that. Also, their YouTube videos are a HUGE help. But once you put everything back together you forget the hard work and you’ll be happy with your unique controller. It feels great too, not too smooth where it’ll slip out of your hands. Doesn’t feel cheaply made either. No gaps. Like it came from Sony this way. Highly recommend!!!

Destroyed 2 controllers trying to get this to work. If I would have known that this is so in depth and removal of tiny parts that tear from touching them most people would not buys this. I am out $150 and a cover that is in the trash. What a waste!

Amazing quality and looks splendid! Fitment was precise, although required couple of extra tools. Takes about 30-40 mins to put on.

Touch is not supported, so what is the point of buying the frame? Be careful not to be deceived

Got this part last as i was a little hesitant to take the entire controller apart, but i did and its working 100% fine, and the controller looks awesome now! Id suggest using a youtube video before taking your controller apart so you can see all the different parts, but this shell is definitely worth the price! It feels amazing, everything fits surprisingly perfectly, touch pad works with zero issues which is the part i was most hesitant about and i couldnt be happier with how it turned out! Now it matches my whole set up!

The listing is not accurate as the touchpad is not compatible with BDM020 models despite the listing stating this is compatible with BDM020. I cannot find a single thing in the listing stating otherwise.

Great product! Put it on in about 30mins (10mins of blowdrying). Solid quality, bits fit perfectly. However I chipped mine right at the end when putting in the sharp black bit. Be careful. Overall very happy with product!
